I am optimistic about Scroggins, but I am still sweating away. He is they key for our recruiting season for offense!

The rumor is very strong in many places that Scroggins is going to USC. I've said before I don't talk to Jesse directly, but I've got enough people calling me that I'm convinced his recruitment is over. I could be wrong, but all things point to USC.

I hope he's. wrong. I am no talent evaluator, but Scroggins is a more fluid and poised athlete than Rettig at this point. We need Jesse! Anxiety level went up a smidge. Still optimistic. Go Vols! Deep breaths

He was spot on with Bryce, but he actually talked to him.

It wouldn't suprise me if he's right on Jesse, but he has missed on a few things.

There is a new article on VQ about Retig and he says that he expects to find out what UT wants to do soon. To me that means we are waiting on Scroggins. If Scroggins has already silently committed to USC, wouldn't he tell our coaches so we could move on?

The article also says that Dietrich Riley may be following Retigg wherever he goes. Pretty cool.

A friend of 4-star safety Dietrich Riley, Rettig says that both have discussed their recruiting avenues and the possibility of playing together at the next level.

"Our high schools are only a couple of miles away," Rettig said. "We have talked about our different opportunities. We've talked about Tennessee and he says he likes it a lot. I think it's cool too. It would be great to go there together, but it's not something where I'm going there if he goes there and vice versa. He has an offer and I don't. It helps to know someone when you are going that far away from home though."

As for a decision from Rettig, the choice appears to be on the horizon.

"I'm going to do something before season starts," Rettig said. "It could be any time. It could be tomorrow. I really don't know. I just know I'm doing something before my season starts."
