So all the rumors about him committing are fake? The longer he takes the better. Get him away from the emotional high of getting the USC offer which he probably has dreamed of as a small child and let the rational side of his brain take hold. That is what we are hoping for, however emotions rule kids his age most of the time.
It might not be the end of the world if Scroggins doesn't commit to UT but it will be the begining of a new one if he does. In this "new world" UT will win national championships and beat UF and BAMA again. It might not happen until JS sophmore year but getting JS means getting top WR's and OL's. Think of this offense
QB- Jesse Scroggins
RB- Bryce Brown
LT- James Stone
LG-Jose Jose
C- AJ Cann
RG- Zach Fulton
RT- Chaz Green
TE- Brian Volger
WR- Nu'keese Richardson
WR- Markieth Ambles
WR- Chris Dunkley
That offense would be amazing and our defense would obviously be amazing to.

Pete needs to throw us a bone, damn.....
I still think we are over reacting though.....we will get some qbs in the next few years and be just fine. With or without Scroggins, life goes on in Knoxville.....
Evidently so, I think he basically had an emotional high when he got the offer and came close. Now when he goes home I am sure his parents will remind him of the reality of going to USC. I think if he goes to USC it is not end of the world for him as a QB. If he plays just one year there he probably gets drafted. However, who wants to play one year when you could play 3 to 4 and still get drafted. Plus, he will be forgotten there and not a player of much attention except for his one year in the sun(if he gets to play one year at all).
This is my second year of following recruiting and really the first year im following closely. I do know that as i read through these pages I see a lot of if he uses his mind and thinks about it he will come to UT. The same thing was said about Heaps as I read through the pages of his thread. Heaps didn't end up a vol. I know the two situations are different, but I just thought I should say this.
