I said a couple weeks ago that Scroggins has a HIP POINTER, and it's not a ham string injury. I figured he wouldn't be participating much. He didn't work out at UF. He probably won't be able to work out too much at USC either.

He did do some stuff at Florida and obviously was trying to do some stuff here. I'm sure it's nothing serious. I bet he performs at the Rising Stars camp despite the injury.

I'm starting to worry now that he might be damaged goods. Didn't Bo Jackson have this kind of injury that cut short his career? Somebody correct me if I am wrong about this.

He was throwing balls with 2 other QBs with CLK, chaney and reaves watching. CLK drove him off in his golf cart. Hip was bothering him.
Golf Cart? We didn't have a Hummer out there to do that? Remember, Coach O loves him a Hummer! :)

i remember. i dont know what that is. i just responded to the mental picture of Scroggins aggravating an injury on our turf.

My son was actually there today and saw it happen live. I dont exactly know what they drive maybe it was one of those john deere carts. But make no doubt it did happen. He said theyre werent many people around they had him and 2 other QBs on the outside practice field.

Bo Jackson completely dislocated his hip. Quite a big difference in the injuries.

Actually, the underlying problem in Bo Jackson's injury was that he had avascular necrosis of the femoral head, which can cause deterioration of the bone & de-stabilize the hip joint.

Its a relatively uncommon injury that can be associated with steroid use. :whistling:

Man i wonder what the coaches are telling him this weekend. I would say they are laying it on him very thick. I have a bad gut feeling he will not come to UT. I hope im wrong

We have a really good shot at him and I think the coaches have known that for some time now. I think they can reel him in on this visit. I know he doesn't want to sit behind Matt Barkley his entire career.

If he wants to pull a Matt Cassel then USC is the place for him

In retrospect, Matt Cassell got a pretty sweet deal. No worries about getting hurt in college or his first years in the pros. Learn the Patriot system, then come in and play with the best OL, a ridiculous WR corps, a great TE, and one of the better receiving running backs in the league. So basically... warm the bench, then play one decent season with the best tools in the league at your disposal and you earn a fat contract.

That's literally a one-in-a...well, the chances are so stacked that I can't even begin to guess. Basically, what I'm saying is: that just doesn't ever happen.

edit: referring to Cassel

Either the Pats have the best scouts in the business (probably do) or they are the luckiest SOBs in the world when drafting QBs. It's probably a little of both I would say.

He probably don't want to play behind Brantley at UF either. At USC, he would get mop up duty until his senior year. And Branyley is a RSSoph, so he'd have to wait until his JR year there. Here he can jump to the front of the line and I hope that's what the staff is trying to portray.
