My guess is that Bailey and of course Anderson would be an upgrade over anything they have. I'm sorry, but I just can't see the allure of going into an 0-11 school no matter how you spin it.

Bailey, yes.

Anderson, no. UW currently has 4 former 4 star WR and a former 2 star who is a Pac 10 Honorable. Even right now, UW has a 4 star commit and a higher ranked 3 star commit at WR. My guess is, Sark offered Anderson for recruiting Scroggins and Bailey.

And I agree about that last statement though the QB coaches are proven.

If you had to chose, would you (UT) offer Bailey or Anderson?

Who doesn't say that, though? Everyone wants to stick with their friends, but it's not often people jump coasts to stay together.
I hear prospects say more frequently "it would be nice, but we are going to all do what's best for us." Your point about guys jumping coasts to play together is a very valid one and likely applies here.
I've also seen Jesse remark that it'd be nice, but it may not happen.
Haven't read that from Jesse.
Have we offered Anderson? I didn't see him on Eric's list, Rivals or Scout.
I had heard we have. I think it was in his thread.

What your best case scenario for UT and worst case (beside the obvious , we don't get anyone)?

Best case scenario is we get two out of Scroggins, Brunetti, Hendrix, Rettig. Worst case scenario we end up with just Brunetti. (could be a worst case scenario where we settle on a guy that we haven't heard of yet but has a good senior year and pops up.)

Sab, I am beginning to wonder myself if the staff believes that this class isn't as good as 2011 can be or maybe even the JUCO ranks next year and may hold out with just Lamaison, if he comes here, and someone that is serviceable just to get them through. I know this would make a lot of people unhappy, but I just don't see our future QB in this class right now. Even I knew that Munchie was a project and had good tools to work with, but I didn't think that he would honestly be the guy in a few years unless we just bombed on recruiting.

I'm with you. To be greedy, I could care less about Bailey and Anderson just as long as we land Scroggins. Last chance for me is Brunetti or Rees while considering your last alternative.

If that's the way we are thinking, don't you think Crompton will be SEVICEABLE this year?

Sure, and Kiffin even believes that Rozier can be a prospect too. Even Lamaison, if he signed, would be as well because I don't think Kiffin takes a kid that he doesn't think can play.

Thinking about it Carson Palmer and Matt Lienert did not show up on the radar until there JR years. And then there's Cassel.

Very strange thread over on Rivals. Some guy with his second post in 73 months of membership just said Scroggins to UT

don't ask me to elaborate, I've been asked not talk about it at all. V,B.
That is all.
Very strange.

Very strange.

Was that recently because someone on this thread said the same thing but he thought it may be a bammer.

Hubbs says it appears Scroggins is at the top of the Vols QB board with Brunetti second. So stop giving me flack for saying Scroggins was at the top of the board. :)

You take a QB every year that you can get one that can play. The coaches may not like the prospects of one of these guys starting on opening day 2010, but there is plenty of talent out there that can be nursed along and shine when ready. But you take a QB every year if you can and we are 3 years behind and playing catchup.

Hell, he was always been my pick since I saw his vids. Scroggins has preped against the best while Heaps has been in WA. But I still think Rees is our #2.
