I'm prolly in the minority on this, but I believe the Montana commit helps UT quite a bit. I could have seen Scroggins going to Washington. Sark is one of the best QB coaches around, it is right in his back yard, and Scroggins and his teammates could have played together at UW. I feel confident in UT's ability to out-recruit UW, but it would not have surprised me to see him go there...
Honestly, I can't really see how UT is not his leader at this point. An offer from USC will put us in a battle...
UT: pros- early playing time, his mom's whole family lives in Tenn, we are recuiting him harder than anyone (his words), he can play with Bailey and Anderson... cons- across the country, haven't showed our product on the field
USC: pros- 20 minutes from home, grew up a USC fan, have put more big time QBs in the NFL than anyone this decade (Palmer, Leinart, Cassell, Booty, Sanchez)... cons- have not offered (yet), signed the #1 QB from 2009, won't see the field for 3 years (at best), will land a big time QB in 2011 to take over for Barkley (imo)
Florida: pros- defending Nat'l champs, have one of the best QB coaches in the business, Meyer informed Scroggins that they will be going to a more pro-style offense... cons- Meyer informed Jevan Snead that he was recruiting Tebow at LB, Meyer knows no offense besides the spread, Meyer may leave for his dream job at ND in the next 4 years, UF is all the way across the country, UF already has a QB committed for 2010
