Which school will Scroggins verbally commit to tomorrow?

It is posted in the Lamaison thread that he is on campus (not confirmed). If the staff feels certain Scroggins is not coming, could the press conference in the morning be to introduce Lamaison in an effort to lessen the blow?

If so, hope it is not counter measures in anticipation of Scroggins shocking the nation by committing to Florida just in time for SEC media days. This would sure set the stage for an interesting time in Hoover, AL. ESPN would be eating it up while the Vol Nation mourns.

Just a thought after watching the Rivals video posted earlier today in this thread.

Hope it swings the other way. If Scroggins is a Vol momentum will kick in.

I have said the whole time that I didn't think he was coming to UT and I understand why he would go to USC due to his personal reasons, buuuuuuuuttt one thing just keep sticking out in my mind.. The interview that he said he wanted to commit on ESPN so it would help out with recruiting... That one thing just keeps jumping out in my mind..

Nothing deep... a USC version of what Nuke did last year. I'd rather it be for a player UF actually wanted and needed, but Scroggins is really needed by neither, so it's mostly trivial.

The thing that gets me is that Neither of these teams need JS AT ALL. Carroll wouldnt give a crap if he didnt come there, and same for CUM. I just hope he realizes how much he is actually NEEDED here.

I am curious about the timing… if after the USC offer it sounds favorable, if prior to the USC offer it is likely irrelevant. It does give the impression of being about the Vols seeing as neither Florida nor USC need recruiting momentum (given their recent track record of success). A quality QB commit for us is a powerful boost.

This is what I don't understand. Pro-style QBs should be all over Tennessee, mainly due to the situation that we're in. We're in such a dire need of a QB and they have a great chance to come in right away and start at a big time school in the SEC. Can it really get much better than that? Easy decision if you ask me...

they want a better supporting cast (players). We are getting them.. but the schools these players have as options have better.

man I hope you're right.... And the comment JS made about helping recruiting for the team he picks males me think the same thing.....on the reverse the timing could also be a vicious slap in the face.... But these two thing make me think there's a chance it's us....

Maybe yall might know....is there any chance Pete Carroll could be helping Lane? I mean he has always spoken well of LK hasn't he? Could he have told Jesse here's your offer but your best bet is the Vols?

wasnt long ago clk told hyams we might not sign a 10 qb. even with nuke in mind thats not kifs style to act so somber in the media. hes more of a watch ur tvs on wed kinda guy
