I do think we end up with Scroggins though. I do like Heaps a little bit more, but I'd be fine either way.

I see our class with Scroggins and maybe a guy like Bortles or maybe Nash Nance or something at QB.

I still think we try to get 2 QBs in this class. It will depend on if they can find two guys they like enough and can land, but remember, we went two classes without a QB and then lost a guy. Having a guy that's a Senior, a RS Soph, and two freshmen is a pretty ideal situation.

2-3 this year. We need the depth in a bad way

Munchie may be our 2nd for 2010. If buried on the depth chart, he could switch positions

lamaison is in the '09 class why would he have any bearing on the '10 qb situation...he's just a depth chart guy not a potential starter
Says who? T. Boyd would have been a good depth chart guy at the very least. Kiffin told him to find another home, right off the bat. Rozier is his rainyday/emergency plan.
Lamaison, if indeed he is offered and comes, is being brought in to...COMPETE with the yahoo's that were recruited by the previous staff. Meaning Kiffin thinks Lamaison's likely BETTER than what he inherited.

Why are we still bringing up Boyd?

Because of all this talk about a supposed "Scrub" being brought in for depth. Kiffin thought Boyd wouldn't be able to keep from getting buried on the depth chart, and didn't want to WASTE a scholarship for a "Scrub."

So why would he try to bring in another for that VERY purpose? Coleman's reasoning for leaving was he felt he had seen and heard enough to surmise that CLK wanted HIS guys in here, and that the guys on the roster were rather expendable. CLK isn't wasting a scholly on a scrub to carry a clipboard. If Lamaison's a silent commit, it's because Kiffin and staff believes he can compete indeed. It's his 1st QB, and I doubt he's interested in screwing that up

I agree. Maybe the 2nd would be Rees. It sounds like the staff loves him. The only problem is he is starting to get calls from people like Jim Tressell. His stock looks like it is gonna start climbing...

Kiffin said verbatim that he felt Boyd DIDN'T FIT HIS SYSTEM, and he didn't want to bring a kid in knowing he'd likely GET BEAT OUT by the prospects in following classes.

I guess Kiffin is a liar...is that what you're suggesting?

surgery. You think he'd come out and say Boyd jacked up his knee and I don't wanna risk signing him?
