Again...you're NEVER going to get guarantees at any major program, no matter how desperate they may be...and we are in bad need with Boyd rejected and Coleman gone.
It doesn't get closer to a guarantee than that! What more would you expect? Jesse simply has the misfortune of facing a very bad situation, depth chart-wise at his hometown school. So much so, that he didn't get offered early like most highly rated prospects do. The fact that he had to wait this long is a loud mega-phone announcement that the QB in this class will be a depth chart number and that's it.
Sab, did you see the rivals article posted on the DB thread that said he and his Dad are visiting UT the first week of August? I am not sure how to take that. The strange thing is, the article is from June 16. Not sure if he still has plans to do so or not. I was hoping he knew Jessee was announcing UT on the 25th of this month and was coming in August to check it out as well.

From a depth chart perspective, it does. The starting QB goes down and here you are left with one true QB...perhaps for the remainder of the season. Having to put rozier in would be about as bad as having to resort to letting G. Jones play.Coleman would not have made a difference.

You're season in funked at that point, no matter how good the rest of the team is.
Because we have a huge hole...a glaring question mark at QB...Lamaison is merely filling the hole Coleman left, penciled in as a depth chart figure for now. We have no one onboard that is yet cause for excitement or optimisim. We lose Stephens, we will have Lamaison. After that, we would be "funked" with or without Coleman. But this matters to Scroggins why...
maybe he just put them in alphabetical order?
Um, not trying to be a di#$ or anything but, Florida, Southern California, Tennessee would be in alphabetical order. Even if you are thinking USC, it would still come before UT. S comes before T no matter what. Don't really know how it would be alphabetical. However, this is the order he visited their camps, so maybe that's it.

What is your point exactly? Are do you just enjoy starting an argument, to see how long you can keep it going?
I'm not on the BJ bandwagon, but the kid WAS rated a 4* and he played better than Crompton did. In fact, I expected that he would jump ahead of Crompton if he hadn't acted so impatiently. All Crompton had to do was resort to last year's form (high probability), and Coleman would've been the starter. I don't even know what the argument is here. You're making a similar viewpoint into an argument, when there really isn't one. I said we were in bad shape since we haven't taken a QB in the last 3 classes, and to compound that, one on the roster (regardless of what you think of his ability), leaves. So the point is...DOOR WIDE OPEN for Jesse. Seems you're making the same point, so why nitpick about how good Coleman is or isn't? I could care less. He's gone, so it doesn't matter how good he wasI'm saying that Coleman is not good enough for Scroggins to care where he's playing, put simply. Coleman left no "hole" because he was not good enough to leave one. If he's not good enough to play for Tennessee, who cares that he left?
