i think this is very telling:

Safety Dion Bailey, who also participated in USC's camp, also is considering the Trojans and Volunteers, along with Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA and Cal.

No Florida.

Its pretty much obvious that Bailey will likely follow Scrog to USC or Tennessee. At least I think so

1. Does he have a scholorship from Florida?
2. Do Jesse and Dion want to play on the same team?

This is an article talking about Scroggins moving up his commitment timeline from July 25th to maybe this upcoming week. It sounds like USC is really pressuring him for a decision. They might be afraid if they hold out to long they will not get a quality QB commit. Who Knows.

Even when he does commit to USC OR UT in the coming weeks I am not going to relax as it relates to our recruiting. I believe keeping this kid depends A LOT on how the season plays out. How will Barkley do within the stable of QB's at USC? How will Kiffin's offense look and how much of an air attack will it display? Not to be captain obvious but there are a ton of other variables that we've all given our two cents about that hinge on this kid's decision (family in TN vs. close proximity to USC, early playing time @ UT & depth chart chart @ USC, etc.). I am praying that Crompton has a very successful year, not just for the sake of this year but what may hinge on it in the coming years. We CANNOT be just a smash mouth team this year...

With that said, I am very optimistic about pulling Scroggins but this USC press does not bode well if he is announcing as soon as these reports say he could.

I think Bray committing to SDSU kinda confirms Scroggins to USC though. If he had a 50/50 shot of going to one of the top schools in the country if Scrog didn't go there, why in the world would he commit to SDSU?

I dont believe he had 50/50. They directly told Rettig he was getting an offer. A guy from CA that picks SDSU just wants to party. Anyone from that area knows that. This kid was just blowing smoke.

Maybe not 50/50, but from what I saw, USC told him that it was down to Retting and him if Scroggins went elsewhere. Either way, I think just the chance would be worth holding out a few more weeks.

No they told Rettig he had the offer period if Scroggins went here(this is what Rettig said). Bray is a joke to me now and I believe nothing of what he said. I lived in the OC and dated a cheerleader from SDSU. I can't completely explain it but someone who really wants to play on a high level does not go to SDSU. Someone who wants to do drugs and get laid does.

Retting said that. Bray didn't. So that might have had an affect on his decision. I don't know. But if he seriously had a shot at going to USC, thats more than worthy of holding off SDSU for a week and a half.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why USC would be pressuring Jesse to commit. First of all, they are in really good shape with him. Second, if he commits elsewhere down the road, I believe they could persuade most any QB recruit that has committed to decommit.

+1

And Faulk won the heisman:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Also, I don't think that if Jesse or Bailey don't commit it will spell disaster for us. It may in the short run, but look at who we pulled in on NSD and beyond.
