10-3

That's a wack stat because getting 10 wins in 1980 probably meant you went 10-1, whereas today it means you went 10-3 or 10-4.

Beat me to it. For many years, the regular season was no more than 10 games. Who needs context though? It's easier for people to make their points without it.

Who needs reading comprehension when it's easier to make a bad point without it? Let me restate my point.

Teams have played 11 or 12 regular season games during the last 40 years. During that time we have won 10 regular season games 6 times. That means only 6 times have we gone 10-1 or 10-2 during the regular season.

An O-line of mostly Jr.s building SEC confidence of being able to dominate a top flight front defensive 7 at certain phases is huge in taking the program to the next level. With this foundation now being functionally set its going to be fun to watch.

This makes sense and Miss State game will tell us all A LOT

If I were a betting man, I would bet we lose to UA.

However, they are a between the tackles running team, and nobody has proven they can do that yet against us. Also, their DBs look fairly vulnerable. Not expecting us to win, but just saying I like the match-up on paper, we are at home, and will probabaly be a far better game than most suspect.

The entire country knows we are weak against the run in the flats - Saban will exploit this if Dools/Sal don't fix it.

okay....this regular season lets say 6-6,7-5 and best 8-4
but probably 7-5. Dooley stays. If we go in 2013 6-6.7-5. When does it end? When do we quit talking Fulmer/Kiffin/Hamilton mess? Do we give him 3-5 more years? I am not hating on Dooley but you have to come to a crossroads sometime. When would that be if we can not cross 8 regular season wins?

Currently aside from a miracle against Bama this is likely our best possible record going forward. My question is if we are able to manage winning out, except Bama, what are your thoughts? At this point I'm getting a vibe from some that DD has to do this or could lose his job. I also get the feeling from some even if he did this it still wouldn't be enough because we wouldn't have beat UGA or FL.

Have a hard time believing that. I think he's safe if he's 8-4 and 4-4, which was what he should be - at least. He will probably stay at 7-5, but I would fire him if he wheeled that barf record out in front of us. 5 straight years of a losing conference record is unacceptable for a team that spends beaucoup money on football. If everybody likes where we're at (aka Ole Miss East), then slash ticket prices in half and focus on tailgating.
