Florida media is just as strong on the gators as any Tennessee fan is about the Vols. Pretty funny to hear them tell about Del Rio being THE guy when he wouldn't even be considered if Willy didn't juice

I ask this as respectfully as i can.

When did Tennessee become so much better than everyone else?

I have no doubt Tennessee can accomplish (fill in the blank). I understand not only that they may, but they should.

However, i dont get the mentality that no one else belongs in the conversation.

There hasnt been a truly great team in the SEC East since 2009.
Let's face it, without PED Will you are a different team. Would of lost to Vandy at home if Vandy doesn't pull a Vandy at the end.

Hard to disagree with this. Tennessee has potential, but they've still gotta win these games.

I find it comical that vol fans keep talking about issues with UF's offense. The offense this year will be much like the offense that you saw last year except, we have 3 RBs that will be toting the rock instead of 1 guy that played the entire game last year. The entire offense will be implemented this year, versus part of the offense being implemented last year to our freshman QB. Our O-Line have all started multiple SEC games, unlike last year when we started 3 true freshman in the win against UT. In all, we started 4 true freshman and 1 redshirt freshman on offense against UT.

Grier - QB
Callaway - WR
Johnson - OT
Ivey - G
Jordan - G

Your defense had trouble stopping us last year, there's no way they stop us this year. Mac will run the ball and grind out the yards to keep Dobbs and Hurd off the field.

27 - 9 Gators win

We had no problem stopping your offense lol. Half your yards came on your final 2 drives when our DC would become conservative and that long run by Taylor when our Walk-on MLB took the wrong gap. UF is the one who couldn't stop our Run Game and we rarely ever even passed. Oh, and our pass rush was all in Grier's face all game long, I even recall him limping and holding his arm towards the end after the beating we gave him. That was with one of our top 2 pass rushers out and our D-line was not good after Maggitt went down.

Bama couldn't hold us to 9 LAST year, and you think UF is gonna do it this year?! 😂😂

Hes still not answered about Del Rio. They have no qb. He will be making first road start against arguably the best D he will face all year. He has 18 career passes. 18! Only completed 8 of those. Hes on his third team. Excuse me while I'm skeptical of his abilities. If he was so great he would have stuck at Bama

Grier's arm looked good on the 4th and 14.

Guys, whichever QB we choose will be an upgrade over Grier. I think Grier is a great talent but he was very young. The two QBs that play this year will only need to manage the game, since we'll finally have a line and running game we can depend on.

"Manage the game" wrong. Gonna have to score a lot of points to keep up with our offense

I think this is more of a rhetorical question. I mean you are on the UT website where the hope and hype is at a decade-long high. But since you asked respectful question I'll try to give a respectful response. UT became better with the upgrade of our defensive coordinator. We became better when our players decided to stay and play their senior year. We became better with a senior quarterback. And we became better because we return a very strong backfield.

I realize most of the VN posters appreciate your contribution but you do also realize this is a Tennessee fan site. This is the first time we have a very good team with some depth to back it up. I'm just not sure what did you expect coming to our site?

I bet if I were to venture to a gator site, everyone would be very realistic about your chances. Difference being is I would never go to another team's site.

Was there a question?

Apparently you can't read well so a copy again

The second point and the even better one that I currently love from Florida fans is telling us how great and improved their offense will be.....with a 2 time transfer with 18 career passes. So lets see, after Grier got suspended, Treon showed Mclwein is not a qb guru but somehow LDR is the second coming of Danny W.

Any rational FL fan would have to admit they have a huge question mark at the most important position on the field.

Here's my prediction. Georgia will be much worse than given credit for and Florida will be much better than given credit for. I'm sorry but there is a night and day difference between the coach at georgia and the coach at florida and all you have to do is listen to them speak to hear it.

1> U.T.
2> Florida
3> Georgia (georgia won't be this good but georgia bias gives it to them).

It was busted coverage. It won't happen again.
The score you picked is absurd
If whatever uf has is an upgrade by your account from Grier then I really feel sorry for Florida this season.
They lose thier leading rusher from a year ago and automatically they become dependable yet they are unproven.
Losing a lot on defense will hurt the Gators. Though I'm sure you'll stick by what you said before, VHIII is replaceable.

Del Rio had scholarship offers from OK State and one from CO State (coached by Mac) but he decided to walk on at Bame and play for Coach Nuss. After one season, Nussmeier left for Michigan so Del Rio went to Oregon State. Oregon St's coach then left for Nebraska and OSU brought in a spread coach. Not wanting to run that offense, he chose to play for Nussmeier again.

I know, he has only thrown 18 passes but that is 18 more passes than Grier threw before he became the starter for UF. LDR was the backup at Bama and OSU, to two guys that are currently on NFL rosters (McCarron with Cincy and Sean Mannion with the Rams).

Who knows, by the UT game, Austin Appleby may have won the starting job. Heck, both were Elite 11 QBs coming out of high school and both can see over the line so that make them both better than Treon.

If there's any questionable position on this Gator team, it's at CB. We have the two best CBs in college football but after that, we are hurting.
