1 gator player leapfrogs them over UT in the East??

How many Vol defenders missed Calloway on the 4th and 14 play, 3-4?

Far too many!
Go Vols....Get some

Not one player missed on Callaway because they weren't even near him. He made one move to the sidelines and received a block from Powell and away he went, into Gator history.

What do you guys think the line will be?

I doubt either team will stumble prior to the game, and a lot of people will be "All aboard!" the Tennessee hype train. Plus Florida will still be adjusting, so not likely to light it up particularly, in the early games.

Game is at UT. UF took miracles to win the last two.

I think the line will be UT minus 11.

With all the history, I think UT minus 6

Not sure what you're referring to since many sports media members have picked UT to win the east. You're butt hurt because the gators aren't in the conversation this year?

!!!!!!

Go win 10 games and prove everyone wrong.

Tennessee fan I am, however, strong the irony is here.

I married a Gator and her Gator family. In the 11 years I have known her, we have never won. Taken her to games at Neyland the past two times we played them there. Watched the destruction unfold. We can't even watch the game together in the same house. The sanctity of my marriage is threatened once a year.

In my pitiful world, beating Florida WILL be the national championship for me.

Please, Butch, hear my prayers...

How did Berry do last year against us?

FYI, I doubt that anyone will be returning kicks against us this year.

He doesn't need to take it all the way back against Florida. If he finds the lane and shortens the field by 20 or 30 yards, you're still screwed.

Good luck with that. I offered to take him at $250 and he ignored the offer. Something tells me he's not as confident as his internet persona lets on.

(And I kept it to $250. I initially wanted to lay more, but would have felt bad for taking more than one month's rent from him.)

Don't feel bad for him, it would be taking it from his mom(if she makes him pay rent).

They are more concerned with Ky than us, they still expect to beat them. They have counted us as a loss for the past two years and the same goes for this year. Time to get the W and move on to Ga.

No, we're more concerned about Vandy and Arky than UT. They are both trap game. I think the Florida players will be focused for the UT game.

There's a small, vocal minority of Gator fans who believe Callaway is the best Sophomore WR in the NCAA thus one of the best players in the NCAA. And it's simply not true; Ridley & Kirk are superior...

Just because it happened for the last 11 years doesn't mean it will happen this year, does it?:crazy:

By game time the UF/UT game will be built up so much with all the talk of two undefeated teams, UT's run for the East and beyond this year and the 11 year streak. I don't see the spread being too much.....I'm guessing UT -6 1/2 tops.

Ky will play y'all close and expose your offense and it wouldn't surprise me if they get the win. Ar is too good to be a trap game, look out. Vandy isn't good enough to be a trap game.

Prepare for a loss to the Vols.

I ask this as respectfully as i can.

When did Tennessee become so much better than everyone else?

I have no doubt Tennessee can accomplish (fill in the blank). I understand not only that they may, but they should.

However, i dont get the mentality that no one else belongs in the conversation.

There hasnt been a truly great team in the SEC East since 2009.

I say this as respectfully as i can.

They don't. :the_finger::the_finger:

Go. Big. Orange.

Callaway would have had better numbers than Kirk, had Grier stayed on the field.

FYI - Ridley was a 21 year old freshman.

We had no problem stopping your offense lol. Half your yards came on your final 2 drives when our DC would become conservative and that long run by Taylor when our Walk-on MLB took the wrong gap. UF is the one who couldn't stop our Run Game and we rarely ever even passed. Oh, and our pass rush was all in Grier's face all game long, I even recall him limping and holding his arm towards the end after the beating we gave him. That was with one of our top 2 pass rushers out and our D-line was not good after Maggitt went down.

Bama couldn't hold us to 9 LAST year, and you think UF is gonna do it this year?! 😂😂

I love that they keep referencing how well they ran the ball on us. Let's check the stats! Kelvin Taylor carried the ball 19 times for 102 yards averaging 5.36 ypc. That's great until you watch the film and realize that he got 59 of those yards on the first two drives when the WO MLB was in the game (most of them on a 47 yard run). Once Kirkland entered the game, he ran for only 43 more yards on 15 carries averaging an abysmal 2.87 ypc. Eight of those 15 carries resulted in 2 yards or less.

Del Rio had scholarship offers from OK State and one from CO State (coached by Mac) but he decided to walk on at Bame and play for Coach Nuss. After one season, Nussmeier left for Michigan so Del Rio went to Oregon State. Oregon St's coach then left for Nebraska and OSU brought in a spread coach. Not wanting to run that offense, he chose to play for Nussmeier again.

I know, he has only thrown 18 passes but that is 18 more passes than Grier threw before he became the starter for UF. LDR was the backup at Bama and OSU, to two guys that are currently on NFL rosters (McCarron with Cincy and Sean Mannion with the Rams).

Who knows, by the UT game, Austin Appleby may have won the starting job. Heck, both were Elite 11 QBs coming out of high school and both can see over the line so that make them both better than Treon.

If there's any questionable position on this Gator team, it's at CB. We have the two best CBs in college football but after that, we are hurting.

Maybe Del Rio will be lucky enough to backup Dobbs in the NFL someday. :dance2:
