I'm calling it...Moore is a Vol...

And FYI...his commitment will give us about 1580 points which will put us in 15th...with all the other 4*'s we've got in the bag we will not drop out of the top 15 again

With Clear announcing tomorrow assuming we land him and Moore, where would that put us points wise heading into NSD?

Eric, you know that's the real question. I would say that it would put us about 15-16th, but those adds are huge for our team. The way they bump in the recruiting rankings will hopefully pale in the way they bump us up in the AP ratings in the next few years.

Anytime you can sign a kid who is a 1st day starter he counts a hell of alot more than 4 stars. JMO I think BMoore will be a HUGE addition to this team.

i dont believe he has any issues with transferring anything to um.
ive heard the silent to um just like everyone else has. maybe he did, maybe he didnt. i have no clue about the um situation. but i do know he committed to ut over 3 weeks ago. if he chooses um tonight coach wilcox will be shocked along with many other coaches.

If we get both we would go into NSD with 1650-1660 points which would have us at 13-14th assuming that UF, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Cal don't land anyone between now and then

4 stars are worth 140 points each. Add in extra points for where they are ranked in the top 100 as well as their position ranking. If we land Moore tonight we will be moved up to 14. If we get Clear tomorrow we will move up to 12.

Probably not but that is cool by me...I will scream like a little school girl if we get them both, I just don't see it. Really excited about 11pm.

I know this has been asked, will it be streaming anywhere?

Moore had a comparable here-there-no/over/there-no/back/here-now/the/other/place kind of recruiting as a HS recruit, as a another Miami site notes:

So let me add to this...

Hypothetically we can add 5 players.

Let's say they are out of:

Clear
Richardson
Moore
Dawson
Wright
Mackey
Jernigan

Any of these five are worth at least 140 points. Extra points for things in my quote. 140*5=700...

Right now we are 1493 points, so if we land any of these five together we are looking at around 700 points to that, which would put us with 2193 points and right now that would rank us at #6. Of course, other schools will land highly rated prospects and some players will switch so I see us finishing right around 10-11 in this class. Not bad IMO.

There's more to it than just straight up points...there is a "high" and "low" value that is calculated in the manner you're talking about but there is also a calculated variable "n" that determines if your total points trends to the lower value or the higher value....

Rivals is not a "straight up, x amount of points for star rating and position ranking" system like Scouts is
