09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

"Can i come too RT @DArnett13: Were going to get OL Antonio Richardson by any means necessary.. I'm recruiting my tail off lol"

That was a Moore tweet to Arnett. I think it's cool to see DArnett13 recruitng, i'm sorry if this has been posted already...I know if it has the older members will try to be cute or funny.

It has, but its all good.

I don't know, man. He seems to want to make his decision a surprise, yet he keeps playing his cards like he's obviously leaning towards Tennessee. We'll see tomorrow, I guess.

Yeah i've seen recruits do this to many times to ever feel safe...They like messing with the fans emotions.

I have just heard a lot more chatter this week about UT liking its chances with Moore. That doesn't mean he's a lock to commit to the Vols on Monday, but it means they have a shot. Up until the past week, I was convinced he was going to Miami. It's anybody's guess at this point, but I'm a lot higher on the Vols' chances now than I was a week ago.

After witnessing Ambles recruitment, albeit much different circumstances, I don't buy any of it until we see a signature.

No. Does he follow a particular team?

No, just a reporter/writer. He does follow UT but not bias. Here's what he had to say when asked that question.

I'm not a UT fan. Just a reporter doing my job. I have covered UT for most of the past seven years, so covering a team closely for a long time doesn't - and, honestly, shouldn't - have an effect on me.

I think Moore will be a starter from day 1. I think JJ goes to corner if he is still a member of the team come spring and Moore and Brewer will be the safties.

Jackson will be a CB. He'll be a very good CB at that. Besides in coverage imagine the guys throwing naked screens and hitches on him. The WRs will be getting blasted for that crap. Teague better get ready because a lot of action would be headed his way. Even though he played the best in coverage out of the other CBs.

Jackson is not moving to cb. If he does our safety rotation will be brewer and a bunch of freshmen.

You shouldn't assume this. First of all, the staff has eluded to the fact they would like to have him play CB. Secondly, that is his natural position. And lastly, Jackson started as a true freshman. You say this like playing as a freshman is impossible. It happens all over the country every year. Why don't we just wait and see what happens?

And, the staff let Jackson play corner any time he wanted to this year. They just let him and Waggner decide when to switch out.

Corner is Jackson's natural position. JMO. That's where he'll play in the NFL, too, IMO. Kid could shut people down.

Would you consider that actually switching, or choosing as you say, between corner and safety or just a different coverage scheme?

I don't see the difference. I think he's a true safety and is just able to do that because of his natural abilities.

I like him at safety just because he's a headhunter like EB. Corners hit and all, but you gotta have a headhunter protecting the middle. I think Janzen is the best we have.

I don't think it's a scheme. He played both this year because he was the best at both positions.
