09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

It's hard to get one of those around here. All I know about "skeeter" is that he brings good inside info to the board. I'm not sure how he gets the info. I guess he's pretty well-known and credible on the ESPN boards as well.

Skeeter works in the athletic dept., that's how.

I want Moore over anyone else left on our board.

+1

Becasue we have already landed Couch at DT and it looks like we will either get Wright or Jernigan or Johnson. So DT should be good. Having an above average DB who can start riight away, right now, looks like more of a need to me!

Him saying he knew where he wanted to go before the Miami trip doesn't necessarily bode well for UT. He could have wanted to go to Miami before the trip and his visit confirmed that for him. It's just a thought, but I hope he's a Vol obviously.

This. By all accounts he gave a silent to Miami last weekend. If this was a Miami board we would be hearing Cane lock.

I think that this is good news for us and here is why. Skeeter said his dad called coach Wilcox after the Miami trip and told him he was a Vol. I believe this story is true. Skeeter said that the coaches were jubilant after the phone call but concerned that dad might sway him back. If Moore is now saying that he knew where he was going to go before the Miami trip--which was also before the phone call-- then there is no way that phone call happens if he isn't planning on committing. Admittedly, this is speculation, but I believe this is good reason to believe he will be a Vol!

I like it.

His announcement was scheduled for today, but he's sick. Postponed to Monday.

So what your saying is he is an attention wh*&e haha. JK I like this kid hope we land him he is the most ready obviously with his JUCO experience. But I hope we still have spots for him on Monday since he just keeps dragging this carrot on a string along for everybody.

I hope this is true. What worries me is all the reports by insiders and other visitors that he was silent to the Miami. A lot of smoke, but is there fire?

Moore will get a spot regardless of when he'll commit.

Oh I know I just don't like giving the kid all the power... I realize this is a life decision for him but if he already knows He11 put it on twitter and be done with it. Sick or no sick what matters is his productivity on Saturdays next year. I want the kid bad (no homo) but no one is bigger then the program and if he knows haul his happy a$$ up there in a wheel chair with an oxygen tank and I'll put the Orange T on his head for him!

This makes sense. If that is truly the case, then pushing back the announcement date only gives Byron's dad more time to sway him to Miami. I think it is in UT's best interest that he make a decision sooner rather than later.
