Did I say you did? You threw out the possibility of him coming to UT because of the difficulty of JUCOs to Miami. If this were the case, Miami insiders being shocked and his Dad being upset wouldn't fit with the grade scenario. I know you don't think that was the reason he didn't go to Miami, but I was just showing that the reactions point to it being he just wanted to be at UT rather than UM.
Rumored that the academic standard at UM were to high for Moore. Not saying that is why he didn't go to Miami or that he is only going here by default, but it is something to think about. I have read somewhere that UM has high standards for JUCO kids and that sometimes it is hard for them to get in.
Thanks for refreshing my memory, I guess I was thinking more along the lines that only one of those will be a senior starting.
I don't see Austin Johnson starting though and PWagg will be in a big competiton for his spot.
If it's harder than getting into an SEC school, I'm surprised they ever get any transfers.
Idk if it is necessarily harder to get into than SEC schools or not. I think it just depends on the situation. The reason the SEC has many problems with JUCO is the extra math rule. I think Miami's problem is just the overall academic standard they have, not an extra class requirement. Could be wrong though.
That's odd. Why visit him officially this late if he can't get in? Sounds to me like some "saving face" is going on because he's not headed there. There is no doubt Miami is tougher to get but I dont understand bringing him in officially this late if he cant get in.

Oh, you are serious. Yikes.
Jiminy Christmas, the Dooley legend is reaching "mythotical" proportions. He has a career losing record as a head coach. He is bringing in a pretty good, not spectacular, recruiting class. How about even just a modicum of substantial success as a leader before you place him in the pantheon of elite coaches?
I wouldn't think that Miami would have visited him officially had this been the case. And nothing has changed with him academically the last 72 hours.
Also, remember he was a qualifier out of high school.
-Hubbs.There may be something that I'm not aware of, but I don't see any reason why Miami would visit him and then cut him the next day with him because he can't get in school. That seems like a stretch to me.
-Hubbs.
Academic problems shot down by Hubbs. I didn't think that was the case. Should have known from the get go it was sour grapes by Miami fans.
Hubbs would not know.
If grades are in question for incoming scholar athletes at Miami, they have a board who grants waivers for admittance.
not saying Moore not being qualified is the truth or not but that is the process.
