Byron Moore, watch him score. (Byron's version of Eric berry's song)

I think he starts over waggs. Gordon/Teague at the other corner. Colman, Wagg, and Naz will still get tons of playing time though. Our secondary has the potential to be nasssty next year.

Waggner got some skills. He got beat that one time in the bowl game and I think that's it for this whole year. If he improves his tackling THEN we will have a top 10 secondary if we get Byron.

With Moore and J Jackson in the secondary, it's beyond nasssty.....

He got beat more then once during the bowl game.

Byron could make or break the defense next year. (He could break it by not signing with us)

UT's secondary is one man away from being great next year. That man is Byron Moore! You will be huge in Knoxville next year, B.
He is to our secondary what Couch is to our D-Line.

It was probably mentioned earlier in the thread but has Byron said when he is planning to announce?

This man agrees with me.

Ditto

We aren't as bad in the secondary as a lot of people here think. Moore would make us solid. What people fail to see clouded by their criticisms; without a four man pass rush that gets pressure from some solid tackle play and having sub-par sub-SEC LB play, our DBs have preformed extremely well.

I don't want my above statement to be heard out of context; the players we have on D are really giving us a lot of good plays. Our D-Linemen are going to be very good for a few years. We just need some beef in the middle and the ability to rush four and get some pressure. Our LBs are not very good and it shows up a lot. IMO

yes we are.

Dont be fooled by what some poor passing teams werent able to accomplish vs us in the last 5 games.

Bama, USC, UF even UAB Lit us up thru the air.

we are definitely more than one player away. we have no experienced depth at CB. Prewaggs had some nice moments but he is very replaceable. emphasis on very.

Not more than one player away. Did you really expect a secondary with a guy who switched from WR to DB a month before season, and a redshirt freshman in Gordon along with Evans to be good at beginning of season? Teague and Gordon are very good yet were very inexperienced this year. Give them another year in weight room and another year of coaching and them two become very good as they have show glimpses of. Add that with Prentiss Waggner who shut down Alshon Jeffrey outside of one pass, and you have 3 very good SEC DBs. Then add Moore with that and you have 4 very good SEC DBs with very good safeties behind them. People just want to ignore that vast improvements are going to be for young players.

I don't agree with you. The front seven has as much to do with it as anything. I like our D-Linemen a lot but we need quality beef in the middle. LBs worry me more than the DBs.
