09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Honestly didn't know you had said it. I do know that now everyone gets some cred by doing so.

Since seeing Moores' video I have felt he could probably start anywhere in the defensive backfield.. That being said, I would truly love to see at least one shutdown corner on the field.. Moore or Jackson either one could probably do the job.. It's looking like the top four DB's are going to be Jackson, Moore, Lanier and Brewer, but that's just IMHO... I'll trust the staff to figure out where to line everybody up..

we have the most paranoid fan base of all time

How am I paranoid? Is it not something that could very well be the case? Has it not been talked about alot that JJ has issues with let's say things of the unlawful variety? I am pretty sure he has a situation coming up he has to do some answering about. Just a fact, nothing to do with being paranoid.

Yeah it was being discussed by me and a few others earlier today. But I had said that I believe he will start from Day #1 a few weeks ago.

But I understand where you are coming from. It can be humorous some times to see people conform to the opinions of others. It's like the Asch Expirements.

But anyway it has been my opinion for awhile that Moore has what it takes to be a starter here.

Agree with most of what you said. Jackson, Brewer, and Moore would definitely be our top 3 DBs. However I'd have Teague/Waggner/Gordon ahead of Lanier ATM. Lanier is a great player, but Teague has made a name for himself on defense, Waggner tied for the team lead in interceptions, and Gordon played very well as a redshirt freshmen. I just don't see Lanier surpassing any of the 3 ATM, especially Teague and Waggner. That's JMO though.

Janzen at S and Moore at CB IMO, JMO though. Janzen is an ALL-SEC caliber Safety. IMO if it's not broken, don't fix it. Also Moore is a sick CB. If you watch his highlights from JUCO he plays both S and CB, but he primarily plays CB and make most of his highlights from that spot.

However, I am no coach or expert. Hubbs has said on VQ a few times that it is the UT's staffs intentions to move Janzen to CB if the opportunity presents itself. So it seems to me that if we get Moore the staff would be more inclined to move Janzen to CB and put Moore at S.

Again I completely trust the staff's roster moves, but if it was up to me I would leave Janzen at S and Moore at CB.

I know a lot of people are saying Moore to corner and comparing him to Berry, BUT as impressive as his video is, I would say he is going to be a safety. If you go back and look at the film he compares more to Deon Grant than Berry. Berry could and can play CB because his hips turnover better than 99% of the players that play DB. Moore looks to me more like Deon Grant; his hips aren't as good as Berry's but he is really good and being compared to Deon is a huge complement IMO. I can't wait for him to be starting next year and doing great things for the VOLS. If he is at corner I believe he will do very well but his natural position is going to be safety. I will also say he and Couch will be my favorite newcomers next year because both will raise the level of play from the VOLS.

Byron Moore clues the QB ALOT Like an Asante Samuel type CB.

I wonder if he could play closer to the LOS without having to eye the QB. that will be a legitimate question mark

I thought he was all clear for now.... Of course it's not like we haven't had things happen the last two years as a program that would make us fear the worst... We haven't exactly got a lot of breaks haha.

I noticed that too. I wrote it off to the fact that he is a man among boys on that field and ball hawking. I believe he can play CB and would adjust to a higher challenge. Look how many WR are 6'4" and above in the SEC. He will need to be more physical at the LOS than what was shown in his highlights. He is still a special athlete to say the least. I can't wait.

this may already have been posted but i dont feel like searching through 100 pages

Just a little something Moore said about Dooley, Joseph and Wilcox. He said some stuff about Miami too, but he doesn't seem as close to their staff. Not based on his comments anyways.

"Pretty much, whenever one of them calls, I end up talking to all three," Moore said. "I always talk to all three of them whenever I get a call from them, so I have a real close relationship with all of them. I feel like I've known them for more than a few months.

"It feels like I've already been with them for years now because we've gotten really close."

He's not too busy. He's been tweeting a lot over there...about coolin it and drinking strawberry lemonade and other random wuzzham stuff.

Funny that you mention that, because I had to "unfollow" EB this week. I just got too tired of his ridiculous tweets taking up my feed. I love reading athletes' interesting tweets about stuff that matters, but EB has gone a little crazy lately. I'm sure he noticed that he has one less follower now. I bet that hurt his feelings, but I had to do it!

My sources have told me that most people who claim to have sources use this term so that they can feel they belong in some way. I will double check with my sources and confirm your sources via other unnamed sources.
