09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

lets just get this out of the way he is no Eric Berry or Ed Reed !!! so while i think he will be a good player he will not be a game changer in my mind. time to bash me if youd like JMO.

No surprise really. He always sounded like he really wanted to end up at Miami. Having his first visit may have hurt us with Miami getting his last, but all is well. Miami is going to be back with Golden at the helm. Tennessee will get great players between now and signing day, so I guess it is only fair that Miami gets a few also.

Until he leaves for Penn State. Surely Joe Pa has no more than a couple years left in him. Their first call for a placement...Golden. His answer, "I accept and will see you in College Park in the morning."

He's already visited with Moore. Expect Wilcox to be there early this week as he's been there early every week since coaches could be out on the road. Golden has already had his as well.

Seems that CDD has already had his in-home visit with Moore. At least we still have Wilcox getting to see him.

I'd like to think Wilcox can sell his future plans and scheme to him. If, that is, he is willing to listen. Hopefully for us, he just got caught in the moment at Miami.

For reasons previously stated, I think Moore probably did "unofficially" commit to Miami, but since he wants to wait a day or more to publicly announce his decision, that will give Dooley a chance to change his mind. I suspect Dooley and Wilcox will be on him like a duck on a junebug, and will be reiterating all the reasons for him to change his mind again and select Tennessee over Miami -- guaranteed playing time with a real chance to immediately start, much better facilities, much larger and better stadium, much larger and better fan base, and more media exposure are just some of the reasons he should change his mind.

Go get 'em Dooley!!

Speaking of stadiums, isn't Miami supposed to get a new one? MC, can you say anything about this? Will it be in Coral Gables, near the orig. Orange Bowl? Is it supposed to be ridiculous, or is the city cramped for space & skimping a little?

Coral gables will NEVER approve of a stadium

I have family who lives there and thats just never going to happen. beautiful area HOA's thru the roof, No way no how does a stadium plan get pushed thru.

apparently moore contacted our coaches earlier and told them he plans on talking things over with his father. hope to let both staff's know of his decision tuesday.

The one receiver apparently let the cat out of the bag and I think Moore wanted to announce on his own. “B. Moore committed this weekend,” Onwuasor told InsideTheU.com from the airport following the visit of all the Cali kids to Coral Gables this weekend. “He was trying to get everyone to commit to Miami with him this weekend.”
