09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

I don't think it's that much of a stretch at all. I agree he was dominant as a Titan and can be dominant in the 4-3 defense, but I wouldn't take him over DWare, Revis, Polamalu, or Woodson on his best day period. If I was building a team and needed a player to build my defense around he probably wouldn't be in my top 10.

You always build your team around the big difference makers in the trenches. Polamalu. Woodson, Revis, Ray Lewis, or any other DB or LB would not stand a chance unless they had a great D-Line in front of them. Haynesworth was the biggest disruptor of an offense as their is in the NFL, when he played for the Titans.

Just look at our own Vols. Not even JJ looked great when QBs had all day to stand in the pocket and throw. It's all about building your fronts.

our facilities and campus blows ums away, hopefully that will come into play. not to mention they have to travel 20 minutes or so to the stadium.

Joe Robby or Pro Player or whatever it is called these days is a good stadium. But it's north of Miami and way disconnected from the U, which is in South Miami. The crowd, when there is a crowd, mostly sits around quietly, waiting for something to happen. Miami fans don't even come out like they used to. I'm not saying that UM Football is an orphan program, because some fans haven't forgotten their Canes. But it's not like it was in the Orange Bowl days.

Even Marcus Jackson was blown away about the difference in gameday culture between UT and UM. He was in shock about how loud and crazy Neyland was that day.

I'd put a rocking Neyland up against any stadium in the land. When the Florida game was loud this year, it was deafening.

I'm hearing he's a Miami lean. As soon as I heard we took Lanier it made me question if were getting Moore as well. I have to think maybe the staff knew Moore was leaning to the Canes and took the Lanier verbal. I just don't know that we were planning on taking both but JMO. Rumor is we're taking Orta so to me there's no way we get Moore. If it's not Miami I'm not sure who it is...

I'm hearing he's a Miami lean but it's not a done deal... the Lanier take makes me question if we get Moore as well. I have to think maybe the staff knew Moore was leaning to the Canes and took the Lanier verbal. I just don't know that we were planning on taking both but JMO.... We are also still looking hard at Orta and there's 0% chance we'd take him over Moore, so that means we aren't a lock with Moore at all.

Orta is committed, and I don't question taking Lanier at all. Isn't he a JUCO top 20? We thought he was a lock to Ole Miss for a while. That changes when we saw that Ole Miss may not of had room. From what skeeter and others have said, we would be willing to take all of them. We won't know anything about Moore's situation until the weekend is over.

Coach Dooley, Thompson and Joseph came in and made a full court press on Orta. According to his coach they are recruiting him to play corner. He was told by the UT coaching staff that they are trying to sign one more Safety after Orta (Byron Moore) Orta is very excited about being a Vol. According to Coach Quinn even if he had taken a visit to Clemson, he was pretty much sold on Tennessee.

Just talked to a big miami fan who lives in Tennessee area, he is more pesemistic than he has been about moore in weeks. Not sure exactly why, waiting on an answer.
