09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Why? We have no depth at safety.

And don't count the guys coming in. Freshman rarely contribute and make a whole lot of mistakes. JJ and EB's talent made up for their freshman mistakes...their talent doesn't come around very often...especially EB.

EB is a good bit better than Jackson. He would be better matched up in a short zone or man-to-man, AKA a cornerback. Just my opinion. I'm saying I wish we had better players at safety so JJ could move to corner.

He would make a very good corner but I agree. Depth concerns will keep him at S. We are good at corner.

ok, Convo Im in right now with a cane-head...

and he gives me this:

* DB Byron Moore -- A Juco prospect who played at USC when coaches Carroll and Franklin were there, Moore has visited Tennessee and Oregon State but cut the Beavers from his list a few days ago. I expect him to be a Tennessee Vol when it's all said and done.

a tidbit on the info source:

This is from the guy who runs the Miami board who probably has the best feel for UM prospects. He also called Jackson to Tenn.

our facilities and campus blows ums away, hopefully that will come into play. not to mention they have to travel 20 minutes or so to the stadium.

Its more than 20 minutes from Coral Gables to Miami Gardens were the stadium is at. It's about 65 and scattered showers. I hope he's having a miserable time. It's crazy here, they have so many toll roads here. I95 has tolls, the turnpike has tolls, gotta pay a toll to go to Wal-Mart SMH.

Moore is a difference maker in this class and we need him. Is it me or does it seem as though Wilcox is getting the tools he needs. Seems as though our defense is getting most of this late recruiting attention.

May be a promise dooley made him to keep him from texas?:detective:

On his best day he isn't? Haynesworth is dominant in a 4-3. I agree he shouldn't be highest paid but comeon "on his best day" is a bit of a stretch

I don't think it's that much of a stretch at all. I agree he was dominant as a Titan and can be dominant in the 4-3 defense, but I wouldn't take him over DWare, Revis, Polamalu, or Woodson on his best day period. If I was building a team and needed a player to build my defense around he probably wouldn't be in my top 10.
