CFB, they play one game at a time. Next up, the Vols host Oklahoma. GBO!
This. These days we have predictions of games 2-3 weeks away. It’s the SEC, you must as a team stay focused and prepare one game at a time. Anything can happen in a sec college football game. Every game is different, teams get better or worse. Players have good games and bad days. The ball can take crazy bounces. Injuries can impact, one team can be more bruised up than the other. I believe that is often a bigger impact that we including myself never take into account. Teams that listen to the rat poison positive or negative will get caught in the trap. GBO

Sure - the context game can be played all day long with just about any team in the country. For instance, Vandy beat both of those teams by a total of 31 points while Alabama only beat them by a total of 10 points, and Bama beat us by 17.

We played at Alabama just like Vanderbilt did. Vanderbilt lost by 16 to Alabama and we lost by 17, statistically no real difference. Alabama played at Missouri against a non injured Pribula and won by 3. Vandy played Missouri at home vs a qb who nearly broke his leg halfway through the game and never returned and you don't think context matters? Doty played 95% of the game for SC vs Vanderbilt who is by far one of the worst quarterbacks in the league as opposed to Sellars playing the entire game vs Alabama. He is literally the entire offense for SC and you don't think that matters. It is literally the defining reasons for those games. It would be like playing Tennessee without JA

You made my point for me - anything and everything is subject to the context game, depending on your argument.

BTW - it's false that Doty played 95% of the game for SC vs. Vandy. Sellers was injured with 1:52 left in the 2nd quarter, so Doty played only 53% of the game.

Vandy just beat back-to-back teams who were ranked in the Top 15 and also won by 24 at #11 South Carolina in Week Three. That's fact, not opinion.

The combined conference record of the three SEC teams Vandy has beaten is 5-10. The combined conference record of the three SEC teams we have beaten is 0-13. That's also fact, not opinion.

Their wins are better than ours. That's an opinion, although most people would probably also call it factual based on the numbers.

We may beat them in Neyland - and I hope we do - but to say they haven't been impressive is unwarranted smugness and having your head in the sand.
Update? 😂 wait till they lose to Auburn next week

I hate to tell you. but Texas has a better defense that Tennessee. if you think we are holding Vandy under 20 points then I'm positive you huff gasoline. quit acting like you know anything when you're just reacting to things in real time. people are seeing through your act.

How's Texas' offense vs Tennessee's? My "act" is I am a Tennessee fans who knows enough ball to see Vandy is overrated and Tennessee will beat them easily

Based on the last 10 minutes, I’m not sure we can say the Texas defense is better. They look just like ours.

You also said Miami would finish as a top 5 team, just saying...

looks like I'm doing pretty well at what I said would happen...to vandy, to miami, will happen to Indiana too...

Where is the great win Vandy has had against an SEC opponent? The game is in KTown, we are hard to be on our home field. I don’t think Vandy can stop our O and we will outscore them. My opinion, you can have yours.
How does the crow taste?
