So this kinda tells me it’s someone signed elsewhere and we don’t want it getting out

there’s a minimal chance it could be Desmond Claude since he pushed his Bama visit back. We could be the reason

I’ll be honest, I wondered the same thing about leaking bad info…as I’ve said I have gotten zero at all from my usual places, and they’ve very rarely not known, they’ve tried to quiet things up since the Morgan hire leaked way before they wanted it out there. As I’ve said, if Kirk gets this one he’s clearly got access to information neither myself or SF do.

I did notice and found it interesting that I didn’t see a single report of Barnes being out this weekend on the recruiting trail, it was first open weekend and every HC was out, but saw no mention of Barnes being out, saw TN assistant mentioned, but never Barnes. Could’ve been nothing and he was out, or maybe just chose to go see grandkids, but I also wondered if they had possibly snuck someone on campus for a visit.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think you can take visits elsewhere as a signed player.

The couple of other scoops @ToddKirk87 has nailed, he brought them to the board with clear confidence that they were not mere prospects but done deals, and he was correct on both. It may be a brief track record, but he is perfect thus far, and based on that I personally feel he would not create a dedicated thread with a flashy graphic if he were not very confident something real is in the works. That said, my read of his comments in this thread do not convey a guarantee of anything, so I think he’s in a great spot either way in terms of credibility and reputation. We all know or should know there are no absolutes in this game, and sure Todd could wait to announce something until it’s complete, but anybody can do that, what fun would that be? The fun is in the anticipation with a healthy dash of uncertainty, and I haven’t detected that he’s tried to present his role as anything more. Even if his info doesn’t bear out on this one, he’s still a highly credible source of information on this board to this point and hasn’t lost an ounce of credibility. Hope he’s right of course. In any case, keep it comin’ KirkMan! 🍊🏀🍊🏀

I have no doubt that’s true about some kids, but I would assume every agent is pushing their clients to play schools off one another to get the best deal. That would be my concern, if anything. However, if they’re keeping it quiet, they must believe that this recruit is his own man and won’t be yanked around by an agent.
