I’m back. Thanks to BTO for the shout out!

I have 2 good news and 2 bad news.

One of the bad news is that the commitment will take place tomorrow and not tonight. There were some graphic/final NIL issues (kids in 2025, right?) and the time began to push to later and now the kid will announce tomorrow. Absolutely certain of that.

The good news is that this player (who I know the name of) will help this team and could be a great option off the bench or even perhaps starting.

Which leads me to the 2nd bad news…this player isn’t a clear 3rd best offseason add, but one could definitely make the argument he is…it’s just not an absolute sure opinion.

The final good news…the guy tomorrow…isn’t who I was originally told about (still haven’t been told name…it’s that tight-lipped). That guy, who is absolutely a great add…maybe even tied with Kobi according to my source…is still looking solid to Vols…but the hoops have to be jumped through before anything can leak out ala Yuri Collins…if you catch the drift.

Have a good night, and hopefully you’ll enjoy tomorrow’s commitment of a solid player who will be an exciting one…just not the one we’ve hyped on the board.

Not even sure how you get signings before the roster rule clears, so official announcements of commitment tomorrow and rumored commitment during dead period seems weird unless they really switch to 15 soon.

I keep on saying minutes minutes minutes but with TWO adds + maybe Gainey to get to 15, I just don't see how the numbers shake out. Hurst will be grandfathered in so the 16 players isn't the problem, it's where do you find time for TWO new additions and, if both are guards, where do you find time for those PLUS Gainey and Abram.

The riddles are to keep my source anonymous. He is as connected as they come and is on campus each day. If I come out sharing who it is, I burn the group that the staff is connected to. They start keeping things even closer to chest and insiders start to crumble. Think of Austin Price who never reveals but sometimes hints with gifs. If he comes out and says “hey guys, we are getting so-and-so,” the staff stops talking to him. I’m only speaking in code to help the source be able to still acquire and distribute info. Sorry I am not able to do more.

With that being said, I hope today happens, and my source is saying “we are good to go today.”

But managing a roster with this many players, the majority of which are transfer from programs where they played big minutes or played for us last year, I would think expect to get some time this season. This seems like a nightmare and a cause for concern from a locker room standpoint.

But managing a roster with this many players, the majority of which are transfer from programs where they played big minutes or played for us last year, I would think expect to get some time this season. This seems like a nightmare and a cause for concern from a locker room standpoint.

We’ve seen it before.

There will be practices in the summer and we’ll know pretty quickly who has it and who doesn’t.

Some will see the writing on the wall and potentially transfer like Ledlum. Or even mid-season like Freddie and Carr.

It’s just part of the process. Barnes is very forthcoming with players. Everybody knows where they stand at all times.

It looks like Barnes learned from last year and he wants to ensure they have enough players to make sure they can have good practices. Boswell, Henderson, Evans, Massamba (hopefully he is a rotational player), and Brown are likely going to be third team practice players.
