I remember when the NBA said when 22/30 teams lost money and then a few years that turned out to be a flat out lie. I can't remember the exact details but it ended up only being 3-4 teams.
Also, I get when people roll their eyes about NBA/MLB players crying unfair pay when those guys have guaranteed contracts and minimum from 840K to (I think the NBA is) $2.2M but a WNBA player max is like 80K. You can barely afford to live on that in California and places that have the jock tax...
If the WNBA is such a massive, massive money loss how come they were able to get $250M a piece for three new franchises? I don't know many people dropping $250M for guaranteed losses.
Cooper was legit but I am hoping that the transfers/young talent will actually improve the line over the seniority. Pendelton/Moe seem legit. Sanders being good day 1 would be great.
They should pay Ozuna & Iglesias' salaries for this year and get another offer. No reason to try and save money when you are already under the luxury tax and the farm is near barren.
