I wonder if they would bring in Lamaison midseason once he knows the play book or redshirt him so he doesn't lose a year of elgilbility. last year at sac he had 36 tds and only 8 ints while throwing for all most 3500 yrds. He's better then those 2
You're not going to run consistently with 9 men in the box and if you can't throw the ball there is no reason for the defense to drop their safeties into coverage so they sit and stuff the run. I don't care if you have Earl Campbell, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith your not going to run...
I wouldn't expect to see Nicholas up to speed until mid season, so it really depends on how well Stephans and or Crompton are playing as to whether he sees the field or not. If he sees the field, no it most likely means the season is about evaluating talent to lead them in the following year...
Nicholas is a very firey but poised leader. He doesn't get frustrated. He doesn't yell and scream at other players. He takes his part of blame in plays that fail regardless. He's the calming confident voice who takes charge in the huddle when it's all on the line and then gets it done...
