When you have the lead most of the game and you're averaging 6 yards a carry on a team playing an inexperienced qb on the road there's no reason to pass over 40 times.

And Crompton did throw the deep ball well. There's plenty of blame to go around but when a team's starting 2 qbs are out, starting running back and te goes down and you still lose despite picking the ball 4 times the coaching staff must catch a lot of heat. Esp when we kept doing to same thing...

the fact is we may have been somewhat balanced (34 runs 42 passes) but the timing of the play calls were off. We'd run on first down pick up 6 then throw the ball twice and then try a 51 yard field goal. Not to mention they never utilized crompton's mobility by getting him out of the pocket...

Why didn't we roll crompton out and utlize his mobility against that rush? He showed heart when he tucked it and ran and he threw the deep ball well all night (but that was about the only balls he threw well).
