Not Sure where you got your stats from, but I found completely different ones... And Chizik does NOT look like a good hire by ANY means. I cited my sources.

I'll disagree with that. Purely opinion, but Vandy only beat 2 teams with a winning record last year (Ole Miss / NC State). They dropped Ohio State and Northwestern (who beat Vandy last year) from this year's schedule to pickup Austin Peay and UAB instead. Looking at their schedule, I would say...
See I disagree and here is why: That same "slow" defense in a 4-3 scheme in 2011 allowed 15 less points per game. Had they allowed at the same rate last year with a 4-3 instead of that 3-4, and we scored at the same rate we did last year offensively, we would have been 9-3 in the regular season...
LOL I think a better article would be why Vandy dropped Northwestern and Ohio State this year to pick up Austin Peay and UAB so they might make a bowl game lol
You remembered correctly... Pead 14 carries 155 yds 11.1 yards per carry 1 TD and a Long of 65... Pead also caught 2 passes for 15 yds receiving.
I agree... I think at the time Peyton texted CBJ that, Tennessee was not in the picture yet. I am willing to bet the farm given the choice between Univ of Tennessee and Univ of Colorado, Tennessee would win hands down in Peyton's eyes.
I do think CBJ should have clarified that a lot better...
I'm not knocking the hire at all, but I like your thinking lol How about adding:
Clint Eastwood or Adam Sandler... The Longest Yard... Winning the big game against all odds
Gene Hackman... The Replacements... Coach Jimmy McGinty taught his players to persevere in the most difficult of...
That's funny... A friend of mine and I had the exact same discussion a few days ago... I told him Bray reminded me a lot of Ainge, and he replied "at least Ainge had heart". It's a very good point :)
In the press conference, I believe CBJ said he doesn't like to call it the "spread" but yeah, he uses many elements of the spread, and mixes in the pro style offense.
I believe it is similar to the offense Chaney had already installed but catered more specifically to the strengths of the QB...
Palardy has a big leg. This year he improved getting the ball up into the air, kicking less line drive field goals / extra points. I think one more year of Palardy (he'll be a senior) with the right coaching, and we'll be just fine at the kicker position. :)
