To think that if we had pulled that one out(thanks refs), we would be 7-4, and 4-3. We would be in a tie with a number of other teams for 3rd in the SEC overall. We would end up 2nd in the East by virtue of having beat Kentucky. Assuming that Ole Miss wins, and Texas A&M wins, we would be in...
We are on the same page. I wasn't being derogatory though, just stating the obvious. Bear Bryant had atrocious grammar and was quite good. It doesn't change the fact that Pruitt did not have a very good grasp of grammar.
I stated, "Finally Pruitt. Though I wanted to like him, a coach with terrible grammar, a N Alabama hillbilly, who could coach or so I thought. In the end, he was a disciplinarian at best and an abusive hick or worse, with no sense of being able to run a whole team in the end."
I stated that I...
Fulmer was a good coach at the beginning from his interim period through however many years, until he wasn't. Then there was Lane, who bonded almost as an equal with the younger crowd as he was still so young, like an older brother. His team reflected that as the players loved him but they...
This year will be different. BJM has been a LB coach for a long time. Nied? Nope.
Mohan and Willis and Beasley as well as Mitchell will be better in coverage than HT or Crouch. They were decent to good run stoppers, not very good, or even bad in coverage.
There are a slew of reasons why...
That's not really true, insofar as Tennessee, the last couple of years. We ran a lot of 3-4. All defenses, base defenses, develop from the 3-4 or 4-3 and most certainly all coaches were brought up on one or the other. A quote from 2018, "There will be some games where we're all 3-4 " JP
I think you hit the nail on the head. I couldn't care less if Tennessee's AD commented on OKLA/TX, but I want him to kick some arse and take names regarding the BS from the BS NCAA. He may just be doing that.
I don't believe that Danny White is much of one for the limelight. I believe that...
I have not seen any discussion regarding the shift in defensive philosophy from a 3-4 to a 4-3. I am aware that we are going to be multiple, but we are certainly moving away from a base 3-4, and I think that this will prove to be a huge factor. With Pruitt, Tennessee never really found a...
First of all, we didn't really have a LB coach last year.
Secondly, you are being ridiculous. Mitchell can be a very good MLB. Crouch never did anything. Willis is a beast. Roman Harrison is as well. Mohan is a tweener, but could definitely find a spot in certain situations. Banks is fine...
We have 71 players including McGrath as I count. Then there are 7 signees. We may also get back Crouch and HT. We could get up to 5 transfers. I believe we have 18 signees or enrollees and two transfers.
That puts us in the 80 something realm.
