I consider UT the Gators biggest SEC east rival. That being said, I hope Ainge is ready to go on Saturday and you guys beat Cal. I live in Pac 10 country and won't ever hear the end of it if Cal wins this game. Besides, I want you guys undefeated on 9/15. :)
The gap has even widened more. I'm sure this thread was started before John Brantley (Gatorade National Player of the Year) was added. Scout's ranking are probably even more of a gap since they tend to rate UF's commits higher than rivals. You know what? It really doesn't matter. The Gators are...
Curious as to why you think Tebow (or Meyer) is arrogant? I mean, here's a guy who's volunteered his life every summer to working with kids in 3rd world countries. Is it just because he's a Gator why you think that? My bet is on the latter.
Personally, I had a similiar dilema in '98 when you guys were playing FSU for the NC. For weeks I thought I would be pulling for FSU due to our lose to UT on that missed FG in overtime. 2 minutes into the game, I started going for the Vols. Then again, UT doesn't "hate" OSU like the UF does FSU.
In my opinion, he was the top WR coming out of HS a few years ago. He was also the Army All-star game MVP. He's been great his first few years at Cal, but UT shut him down earlier this season.
I agree, no way the Gators rush for 279 yards tonight. Will they have to though with our passing attack? In other words, don't assume that the Gators will have to rush for as many yards as Arkansas did against AU to win the game. More importantly, from what I've read, Kenny Irons is not 100% and...
If we even take it a step further, only ONCE has the loser of the UF-UT game actually WON (what really matters) the SEC. 1997 in which you guys accomplished that feat.
Well, of course there have been times that the loser plays in the game, but not very often. Let's see -
'92 - Vols win. Gators play. (once)
'93 - Gators win. Gators play
'94 - Gators win. Gators play.
'95 - Gators win. Gators play.
'96 - Gators win. Gators play
'97 - Gators win. Vols...
No offense, but that's wishful thinking. It would really take injuries to players like Leak, Siler, and Reggie Nelson for the "wheels to come flying off". This Gator team has an attitude right now. An attitude that they don't think they can lose. Expect the Gators to win big...
