There were two bad years for the offense during his time, 2002 and 2005. 1999, 2001, 2003, & 2004 were pretty good offensive teams. His problem was that he was never an elite OC and after winning a NC thats what the fans wanted and expected. To say his entire tenure was a disaster is not correct.
The best case scenario for us is that he comes in and looks really good in the spring and fall camps but JG still wins the job. The competition should push JG but if he falters you have Bailey to fall back on.
They were a 2 pt conversion away from tying right at the end of the game and if my memory serves we were lucky to not have PI called on it. I'd say it was pretty close.
