I know the goal here is to always catch UConn cheating. We all strive for that. And I admit I'm not 100% versed in all NCAA rules but I believe a school can provide complimentary tickets to all visitors/recruits even on unofficial trips. I'm pretty sure the LVs do the same thing. So as long as...
If you look at the video just as Holly falls off the screen and the ball crosses half court she is calling for the team to foul. Sadly she wasn't prepared to tell them that in advance and couldn't even tell them that before it was too late.
I remember the old days when we would celebrate the big Final Four LV wins. Sadly now we seem to take more enjoyment in UConn losses, probably because there are no more big LV wins. Oh well.
We all keep saying that but whoever they hire is going to have a whole bunch of good players to start. If theyre a good coach, unlike Holly, UConn may continue to be really good.
Sure... maybe Phoenix could throw in their 2007 championship trophy and Devin Booker from the Suns too.
Come on. There is no way they'd trade Griner and a first to get back Cambage, who isn't as good and is always a risk to not show up in the US.
I know we are raised to hate UConn and Geno but to call them a little above average seems like a stretch. I think we can safely call them really good after 111 wins. What the Vols need to strive for is being "a little above average" at this point.
Probably a bit soon to trash the newly hired coach. Without doing any digging she probably doesn't have more than 1 or 2 of her own recruits on the roster and she's likely implementing a new system. Might be better to give her more than 6 months.
Minnesota has plenty of solid years left. At the risk of being hated for saying it... if Cheryl was interested in the college level wouldn't she wait for her friend Geno to retire?
Does the NCAA let players transfer out without waiting if UNC is placed on probation? I could be hallucinating but I feel like I've seen that somewhere. If so then it wouldn't be an awful thing to commit there.
I won't argue the rest of what you said at all but I think its a bit much to say that a sport never would have risen to be as great as it is. There's no doubt she was the catalyst in getting WCBB to where it is but I find it hard to believe that someone else wouldn't have done so if there was no...
So you'd have made them say #15 in regular season polls? Maybe give them a #5 seed? How would that change things? Make UConn plays feel slighted and even more motivated? Let Geno say he was the lowest seed to ever win a title?
It's silly. Rankings and seeds are based on how good a team is...
1) Can I be there when you tell the Sparks they lose Parker and in return can have some USC or UCLA players? Or when you tell Phoenix they lose Taurasi but get Briann January (ASU alum)? Or Minnesota when you take Maya Moore?
2) Can I be there when you explain to fanbases that their future...
To be fair he did say the women's game was worse. But man alive...this is below bad. This is about as ugly a title game as I've ever seen. Going to be a slugfest to the finish.
