Multiple sources reporting (and Lauren Cox supposedly retweeted it) that Cox has narrowed her list to 6: Baylor, Louisville, ND, South Carolina, Tennessee and UConn!

No. 1 2016 recruit Lauren Cox (@lauren_cox15) cuts list to 6: Baylor, Louisville, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, and UConn.

Cox has made unofficial visits to Baylor, Louisville, and Notre Dame. UConn and Tennessee did home visits last month. Her father added that she will not take official visits until the fall.

Good to now that this list is actually official and going by it she's definitely willing to go out of state.

seems like the poster on that other board got all but one wrong i'm guessing that they saw UT and associated it with Texas instead of Tennessee.

I do think that teams should take a hit in the polls for playing a weak schedule,no matter what sport it is

strength of schedule should count more than beating up on the same number of cupcakes versus playing a really strong schedule and losing a game or two against ranker opponents

I do think it would be great for the Lady Vols to pick up Krystalline McCune,I do think she would be a missing key to put the Lady Vols over the edge for the coming season

a great post presence like her,is all ways needed

I didn't think we had been removed from consideration, but am surprised she removed Texas. I think Baylor has lead from the beginning, and will be hard to pry her from there.

I agree, we certainly could use her but isn't she in the 2016 Class ? That would be the one after this coming season.

So you'd have made them say #15 in regular season polls? Maybe give them a #5 seed? How would that change things? Make UConn plays feel slighted and even more motivated? Let Geno say he was the lowest seed to ever win a title?

It's silly. Rankings and seeds are based on how good a team is. Pretending they weren't the best team is dumb. Yes their conference stinks but they were still the best.

I know that McCune did take an unofficial but do you know if she will also schedule an official visit?

Mtsuraider, since Cox released her top 6 and now only has one TX school on her list, is it Baylor all the way or you think this means she is now more willing to leave the state?

I think having five of her six out of state shows she is very willing to leave Texas. However, I've always thought that Baylor was the leader for her.

Recruiting can change at any moment. I wouldn't count out Notre Dame.

Thanks. I agree...you can never be 100% with kids these days. Hope we can make a huge play for her. She would def have plenty of early opportunities to have a huge role on our team.

How can anyone who has observed recruiting believe they have any opinion at all? An 18 year old young woman they have never met, seen in person play etc.

How many on this thread have written "-I think she will go to X" based on nothing.

How do you know it's based on nothing?

I've been saying Baylor for over a year, and guess what, Baylor is still in her final six. I said when the rumor of Tennessee being removed was false, and guess what, it was false.

Just because there is a lot of speculation in this board doesn't meant that there isn't any truth either.

Until recruits actually signs with a team it is all guesstimation. It is just like the boys, you have 18 year old kids who can change at a moments notice. Just because a particular school is not on a prospects' list, it can be a huge list of reasons, including they have not been contacted by that school. Many of these young ladies will not really evaluate their chances at being an immediate factor until after high school graduation. For instance, is a potential freshman post starter willing to go to Baylor and play behind two sophomore post? Are they willing to come to Tennessee and play as the second post? Which will give them more of a chance to be a major contributor. Lets remember that verbals are only a promise which are broken every year.

I know there's been a lot of talk about getting another big--but good grief, Warlick needs to find a genuine scorer, somebody who is both athletic AND can shoot--a really good 2 guard. I don't understand why Warlick would sign Meme Jackson, frankly, as from what I read her offensive game is limited. Warlick has said that she is athletic and plays good defense and so "fits our style." Oh, my: it is that kind of comment that drives me crazy. We have a style that can't score 50 points in the regional final--but Warlick seems not to get the problem.

We have one...her name is Diamond. Look her up...she's pretty good. Oh and Te'a Cooper ain't half bad either.

Oh so you're just gonna act like we don't have DeShields and Cooper coming in too?
I can't believe that you seriously complaining about the fact that she is going after Posts and Bigs when that's what we need the most.
