Exactly right. Florida fans are not going to be happy with just winning the SEC East. Any more than Tennessee fans were happy when Fulmer went to several SECCGs without winning. Although I gather that today, UT fans might be happy to just be there.

Right now, Florida is still winning most of the head to head recruiting battles with FSU. Not all, but most. FSU should lag behind Florida for some time yet.
