Spent a few hours in the creek today. 4 keeper trout and a red way too big for the cooler I brought

Surf fishing yesterday was rough. Conditions were bad, way too windy and current was dragging 5 Oz satellites. Nice day outside at least. Night fishing in the creek went better. Keeper red and a jumbo white cat plus some other reds and cats.

I'll let you know this weekend, think we're going surf fishing. Haven't gone in a while since it's been so slow. Apparently the reds are biting in the creeks, keeper size even in the small creeks that I'm in. But I know people are also going out in their boats in the river to target the jumbo...

We were going to do a charter but i read too many stories online of folks spending $500+ for those things and then don't even end up getting to hold a rod the whole trip. That would have pissed me off way more than trying on our own and not catching anything lol.

We tried egg rigs at every location we fished at. Nothin'. I think we were well past the main salmon run in the creeks. Saw a lot of dead ones.

Some pictures of me not catching anything in Alaska/Washington (we had no idea what we were doing). That big school of coho was right off the cruise ship dock but they weren't interested in eating. Some guy was snagging them for fun though. Couldn't get a nibble, fresh or salt, trout or salmon...

I was hoping we'd get a full on Alien flashback to the ship. Glad they gave it a full episode. I'm definitely enjoying the show but I admit to checking out sometimes when the earth-robot-kids stuff is going on. Needed that kind of episode.
