It should be like a business trip for a private company. As long as they pay their own lodging and additional travel costs incurred for the personal part of the trip, they take leave for it, and they’re not needed for work elsewhere, have at it.

That's not true all the time.My friend sets up meetings in places like New York Coty. The company pays for lodging and travel expenses. My friend goes and has fun around his meetings.

The hackers have published a series of photos of Patel from before he became FBI director that they claim were stolen from his personal email account. A source familiar with the incident confirmed the images’ authenticity.

The stolen emails appear to date from around 2011 to 2022 and appear to include personal, business and travel correspondence that Patel had with various contacts, according to a preliminary CNN review of the files with the help of an independent cybersecurity researcher.

What the hacking group is calling a breach of “impenetrable” FBI systems is in reality something much more mundane — a breach of things like family photos and details on Patel’s previous search for an apartment, said the researcher, Ron Fabela.

Oh I absolutely read it and it still indicates he is a clueless boob incapable of maintaining any degree of OPSEC. I almost added that this wasn’t his FBI account and was before his appointment (and he was the target of another attack after his appointment) but then I thought surely people wouldn’t be dumb enough to bite on that non sequitur since the timespan of the data covered 11 years 😂

His personal email account was hacked prior to being the director of the FBI, WOW! That's some incompetent boobness for sure. That never happens to smart competent people.

It’s never happened to me. And we all know I’m incompetent. And there was data from as recent as 2022 so this isn’t a distant time long before his appointment. He’s an incompetent boob and has no clue on OPSEC.

Yeah, while a private citizen he should have been concerned about OPSEC and letting someone hack his family photos and apartment search history. Definite sign of incompetence.

Nobody cares enough about you to try hacking your email. You could use password as your password and be safe.
