Even though Jay Greeson can't keep his Auburn homer-ism in check, I would much rather listen to 105.1 in Chattanooga from 3-6 than to WGOW. Every other show on 105.1 seems like straight up unlistenable. WGOW might as well be called Andy Berke and friends.
I think Kelly is gone which would solve our short term overstaffing problem and get Tee out on the road. And with Pruitt being kind of hands on as a DB coach, we won't have to replace him. Tee is surprisingly the QB coach, figured he would have been WR but won't complain about that. Weinke...
I would like to see us keep Johnson on staff, but am hurting to tell anyone where Tee will fit. Since we seem set on keeping Will Friend, the next one on my list would probably be Weinke, stemming off how the only IMG recruit we got this time around was originally from Seymour and wanted to...
only thing I wish.... i wish we had gotten him before Justin Fields signed with Ohio State. Chaney was bumped to coaching TEs for a head scratcher of a reason last season, and oddly enough Fields left. If we had moved sooner Fields might have looked into coming with him.
1st play I formation, play action over Right guard, have Wood-Anderson run a quick slant behind where the OLB was sitting, Jennings left of formation running a dig route, Calloway lined up right of formation running a stop and go route, have the H-back peel off hard left after blasting through...
Seems to me like the "they're just waiting for the season to end" has ran well past it's prime. We have 12 NFL teams left playing, and odds are if they are playoff worthy, they aren't looking to shed their OC. I couldn't begin to tell you why anyone left on Bama or Clemson's staff would leave...
I understand why they do this, because playing in an ultimately meaningless bowl game gives you a chance at a bad injury that could either hamper your ability in the combine and pro day, or worse... It is frustrating, but if it's not for a national championship game or something else highly...
There's a bunch of scenarios that play out in my mind here....
A.) We hire an up-and-comer like a Mike Yurcich or David Yost, they come in and if they do well, in a year or two they will get their first HC offer.
B.) We hire a guy like Jim Chaney whose career has plateaued at the OC level...
The prime dates have already been picked, so I will have to be creative with how I pick a date.
It will be Jim Chaney
The first LEAK of it being Jim Chaney will be 12/26/18, which it won't leak until then so that the team will arrive in Pasadena for practices and it will be too late for...
i fear this will be like when Rob Smith, an OG quite a few years back, decided to go pro..never got picked and I don't even think he made a practice squad. He could have used to prove something somewhere first.
Rumblings out of Florida are that Sal Sunseri will be hired as our new offensive coordinator. Apparently impressed during his interview, said he knows about teams scoring 40+ points per game at will, and he was on the sideline calling plays. No follow up question was asked regarding which...
Seeing as how Tennessee is really dragging out this hire, but Doug Mathews (and supposedly a couple of other big names) are saying the deal is "95% done" and that "we have our guy, we just haven't announced him yet"....
Perhaps we can atleast have a little fun with this.... maybe if Freak so...
