'19 UCF QB Dillon Gabriel (Transfer portal)

has entered the transfer portal. Big accurate arm, and knows the Heupel offense. Next stop, Knoxville???

Gary Patterson Would’ve Set Us Back

Hiring Gary Patterson or even Kevin Sumlin would have been far better moves than any Hamilton, Hart, or Fulmer made. Both were on the cusp of great runs and would have brought stability and far greater success than Dooley, Jones, or Pruitt. In fairness, either would have run their course by...

    The State of the Program

I wouldn't necessarily call CJH's offense gimmicky. He has blended elements of the wing T, air raid, west coast, inside zone, outside zone and run n shoot, and the veer into his scheme. It's pretty versatile to say the least, and different aspects can be emphasized as the roster changes.

Let's talk about Kentucky for a while

I was at KY-MSU. Tennessee wins. The only area State struggled in offensively was trying to run outside. Evans and Small will be able to get chunk plays inside, the passing game should flourish as well. UK struggled offensively all night. Their only offensive TD was the result of a busted coverage.

    Portal Rule Rumor?

Or they are being nudged out and steered toward a coaching buddy at a lower level.

    QBS

Good point, however, I'm not sold that Mizzou has an SEC caliber D.

    QBS

There has been a ton of debate over Hooker, Milton, and Bailey. Hooker has looked better than the other two so far. However, the ugly truth is this, there have only been 2 SEC caliber QBs on the Hill since 2008, Bray and Dobbs. Worley was a warrior who played his heart out in an offense that...

Anybody think Simpson or Horne flip ?

Simpson has talent, but he's played behind a sieve of an offensive line. Young man has been running for his life all through high school. Curious as to how long it will take him to get over his happy feet and settle in the pocket (stationary or rolling) and work through his reads. Shea Patterson...

Thoughts after three games (long read)

Um... I'm not sure how many high school OCs merge elements of the Wing T, Air Raid, Air Coryell, Inside/Outside Zone, and the West Coast offenses into their offense.....

I am getting a little nervous about these AAC Coaches

Nick Saban and Urban Meyer were MAC head coaches, everybody gets their 1st head coaching job somewhere, most below the Power 5 level.

A View from Big Ben: I think the mist is starting to clear this fall

Coach G more or less called him out on his size and (lack of) conditioning during his most recent presser. Sounds like the young man has some work to do to get out of the doghouse and into game shape.

    Question about our offense

I'm a nerd who has coached for the last 35 years. Watching UCF film, this offense has elements of inside/outside zone, the Wing T, Bill Walsh's West Coast offense, the Air Raid, and old USC power sweeps. The field is stretched vertically and horizontally, a LB and S always seem to wind up out...
