I know one of his high school coaches and have watched the kid play. Rocker made the offer, per the coach. I was pretty baffled by when I saw it on twitter and after talking to some local folks, apparently I wasn't the only one. Doesn't appear that Memphis was even interested.

I have heard the staff really likes this kid and think she is better than her ranking.

Someone with knowledge of the situation told me that Davis was not really happy about leaving home and GT also gives her a chance to be a lone star rather than having to share the lime light.

Tiger beat writer just said on Memphis radio that Memphis appeared to be out and that it was TN vs. Auburn.... He said he feels like its Tennessee winning out.

No worries...just watching the news in Memphis, where they had the Komen RFTC today...spokesman said that about $0.25 of every dollar would go toward research and $0.75 would go back to area initiatives...

I said it like its a good thing? I was just providing the number I found. I think it is astonishing low, especially considering that they spend twice as much in education and production materials than they do research.

Word on the street among HS coaches in Memphis that I have talked to is... 1) Ohio St (if he gets the green light there) 2) Vandy (they took his brother last semester. Brother was a RS freshman at a D2 in Arky and Vandy got him to transfer in hopes of landing his brother)

Local HS coach today told me that he keeps hearing LSU. In the next breath, he said that he liked Carr more. Said that Carr was tougher and appeared to work harder the times that he had seen both (multiple occasions). TIFWIW
