Haha. Well...it looked like to me the DE played run, like he should bc he was getting base blocked by the OT, and was just able to get his hand up and tip the ball. Rams were in zone behind (I think 3 deep 4 under) and the targeted receiver was open. Great play by the DE for sure.

There are things like this in the playbook but the best way (IMO) to help against RPOs is to take away players who are in run/pass conflict. Pruitt does this, I assure you. There are many ways to do this. Again, my opinion but an educated one, scheme isn’t the problem.

Tennessee's (and Bama's) base coverage is 3 deep zone. They both do a lot of other stuff but the base is Cover 3/6 which are both 3 deep 4 under zone match.
