I love this. Normally this time of year everyone has super high expectations and then when they aren't met, the doomers come out.
This year everyone is going to have lower expectations given the circumstances, looks like most would be happy with 7 or 8 wins.
I'm saying 7 or 8 wins, but also...
Yes that's true, and hopefully when that happens attendance would fall and prices would drop. Will that happen? Hopefully we aren't in the position to find out for a long long time.
Having lived through the past 15 years as a miserable VOLS fan, I'll always consider a good/great year to be special. Met my wife in 2008 and she hadn't been a football fan, up until the last couple years I'm sure she thought I was a liar when I told her the VOLS were awesome.
I mean, even if we have 3 of these a year...sure beats stressing every year over which 6 wins can we cobble together to get to the Music City Bowl. We would all love to have last year every year, but I'll take an 8 or 9 win season as a down year over what we just went through.
I think he was referring to them passing people on the shoulder, obviously in a hurry, escorted by law enforcement. A broken collarbone doesn't lead to that kind of transport.
