I was watching the game at a place that had no sound projected through so I couldn't really get an analysis on the hit, but I thought from watching the replays that it was textbook helmet-to-helmet targeting. But like I said, I was in a huge crowd of people and drinking so may not have read that...
I'm glad you had a good time in Cstat. Like I said in the other thread, weirdest game I've ever seen and Tennessee outplayed us by a long shot and we were lucky to win that game. I still can't fully formulate my thoughts about it.
A&M fan here
And I get it, I would have sour grapes too after watching that game.
Weirdest game I've ever seen. Tennessee outplayed A&M and I think everyone could see that. But just like the App State games, Ohio games, etc. you can't take every game in isolation and project it. Our...
When I was there, Internet hadn't reached the town yet. That was only a year ago.
But really, I don't think anyone knows and a bunch of college kids aren't going to look it up once the idea pops into their head. With the knowledge that he has an autoimmune disease I don't like the signs, but...
I think Tennessee wins this one. I am pretty objective and study the games a lot, and A&M's offense is not as good as most of y'all think. We have struggled to consistently move the ball down the field. I've watched most games this season when many of our drives just stall. I don't have...
My point is that because they've come out flat in a couple games this season, doesn't mean it will happen again either. My post was about college football in general, it wasn't a shot at Tennessee. In fact, it should probably be taken as a compliment! Re-read it and hopefully what I was saying...
This is one of the biggest fallacies of human nature when analyzing sports. I believe there is emotion involved in sports obviously and that it can alter performance to a degree, but looking at games in isolation is a terrible way to predict the future and accounting for things like "comebacks"...
Oklahoma and Nebraska weren't in the Southwest Conference. I'm in my 20s and even I know that! If you look back, A&M was the best team in the SWC for most of the 80s and 90s. Since scholarship limitations were implemented by the NCAA in 1973 literally evening the playing field, the A&M-Texas...
The documentary came out in 2014 but is about the years leading up to the SEC move and then A&M's first season in the conference. The 2014 dates were just release dates.
