There's no reason not to trust Butch at this point. We didn't like the Jancek and Martinez hires, but those have panned out thus far. We didn't believe Butch could recruit in the SEC and boy were we wrong. He's earned my trust.
TE's are almost forced to stay in and help block because the offensive line is so weak and Croom made a nice play last week. But, his overall record in his couple seasons has been a little disappointing, for me at least. I wouldn't blame the coaching staff if they didn't trust him to go get...
Okay, I'm not going to defend the coaches regardless. But you're criticizing the play calling while offering no solution. "Whatever it takes to win"? That's awfully vague. And good question, I would agree that Devrin is under-utilized.
It's hard to hide a weakness as glaring as this offensive line. What are you going to do? Throw bubble screens all day long? Even a line with a few new starters, you can run the ball to the opposite, but not a completely new line. We just have to be patient. I'm not ready to ditch Bajakian yet.
I have always thought that the best time to take a shot on offense is right after getting a turnover from your defense. He had a one-one matchup with North on Hargreaves. But VH3 is a heckuva CB that made a play.
Yeah, I think blaming Bajakian is the easy way out for this past week. The players have to execute the plays that he's calling and right now, we don't have the offensive line to run the ball effectively or throw passes down the field.
He called a really effective game against UGA two weeks...
I don't think the culture change that we hear about can be overlooked. Our upper classmen were used to losing and they didn't learn how to win. The only kids not really used to that are the guys Butch has brought, who are all Fr. and So.
Sutton said even last year, people weren't that...
I remember a time when we were fresh off a loss to UGA and people were talking about Worley's leadership and how important he is. One week later, here we are. Don't become a prisoner to the moment people, take it week by week.
