I know what the issue is. We lost Omari Thomas, Omar Norman-Lott, and Elijah Simmons in the interior of the D-Line from last year, not to mention an NFL 1st round edge rusher in James Pierce. The guys who replaced them this year, up to this point, are not as good at setting the edge, or...

I said 9-3 before the season started and I still say that. We are not a playoff team on defense. This is completely on this staff for not recruiting better on that side of the ball.

Yeah, the problem isnt Telander. The problem is our staff's recruiting prowess up to now. Now, our 2026 recruiting class on the defensive side of the ball looks damn good, so we'll see how they pan out. But up to now, our staff has recruited at a "good" but not elite level.
