At least this guy has head coaching experience. Shula was literally a hope and a prayer. Judge this hire by the staff he hires is my advice. Shula's OC had been selling cell phones when Shula picked him up.

If it is Lovie, were the other names smokescreens/overzealous reporters/guys trying to get a raise, or was Lovie really that far down the list. I don't necessarily know that it is a good hire, but it seems like he would have been ahead of Cut.

I'll say this, as an Alabama fan who was forced to watch a lot of Bear's games with my old roommate, of all the names mentioned, this is the one that I like the best. Lovie Smith would be damn lucky if Tennessee throws him a life line, and Bears fans would be dancing in the streets.
