Maybe read my OP and see where I said "defense was THE problem". I'm not walking anything back.

31 points plus a garbage time TD is not good enough against a trash Gamecock defense. I get Heupel and Hooker have been electric all season but last night was a schematic wrinkle on defense that completely took away the lethality of this Volunteer offense.

As I said, defense was THE problem. I'm saying not to overlook how SC exposed Tennessee's offense from a schematic standpoint. They defended it the best they could with a rag tag defense.

I mean it's the best offense in college football. Of course things were going to be there. But that was a bad SC defense and that scheme alone showed a weakness in this Vol offense that nobody has exploited before. Elite SEC programs are only going to take that formula and run with it.

For as many drops as there were last night, there were three times the amount of times that Milton overthrew a wide open receiver or just held on to the ball when a receiver was wide open. How can you even sit here and act like Milton was anything but below average at best.

This is just..... stupid. The last time Tennessee beat an SEC team (that wasn't Vandy) by 30+ points was Kentucky in 2015. Beating South Carolina 38-6 would be a freaking gift from God.

Milton has been playing college ball for 4 years now. It would take a miracle to fix even half of the issues he's got over just the next 3 months. Chances are, this is what Tennessee has this season.
