You see this what I'm talking about. How many of those incomplete passes were dropped? How many of those passes did the wr run a bad route or the wrong route? It's more to it than pulling up stats.
For as many drops as there were last night, there were three times the amount of times that Milton overthrew a wide open receiver or just held on to the ball when a receiver was wide open. How can you even sit here and act like Milton was anything but below average at best. You see this what I'm talking about. How many of those incomplete passes were dropped? The thing that scares me most is the way he drops back and seems VERY comfortable just standing there, flat footed. He will get rocked against an SEC defense. He has to keep his feet moving and be on his toes. I’m going to watch the replay tonight(not that I’m an expert) but I think with how fast everything went last night, a second look may give a better perspective on our offense. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’ll have to watch the film before I comment.I don’t want to hate on Milton too much but it is kind of hard not to point out the obvious. His accuracy leaves A LOT to be desired. If he plays like this moving forward it is going to extremely tough to win games. His accuracy and decision making must improve dramatically. The receivers were open all night but he couldn’t get them the ball or was too indecisive clutching that rock like his favorite pillow. He is not a Dobbs type of runner but he does have the ability to make plays with his legs. I believe Heupel made him the starter because of his upside and potential to be good. I did not see that from his as passer unfortunately. Bailey or Hooker will probably be inserted into the PITT game If JM plays like this for the first few series. Is he JG level? God I hope not.
But he was blind to open receivers during those 5 seconds. Against good Ds he will only have 1.5 sec. We will see how that works out.BG dropped eight. They played the LBs in the short zone and safeties held two middle thirds. Not discounting Milton’s lack of touch, but we will never see that again. BG pulled the equivalent of year one Kiffin vs Alabama. When you play a team that can beat you by 35, run the clock on O, and take away one full facet on D. It was pretty smart for appearances sake. They committed to losing to avoid a blowout. Heupel has designed an offense that is based on a three option check down over 1.5 seconds. Milton was still shopping at five seconds. His passing stats are a useless data point.
I THINK BAILEY would THRIVE in this Offense- What say you?-
I was just pointing out one comment from a long time ago from a poster trying to show how “wrong” he was flies out the door when you said Butch was a good coach. It’s pointless. You are going to complain like you always do whether we win by 32 or 50Please learn how to crop a screenshot properly.
That post is from 11/24/2013, 11 games into Butch's first season. Here's one from two days later:

Feel free to look up my posts concerning Butch in his second, third, fourth, and fifth seasons. You aren't going to find me making excuses for Butch. I was incorrect in my assertions at the time though as I did believe that his coordinators were to blame for his system, but that was all Butch.
It is what it is, obviously Milton is better than hooker or Bailey.
I really thought Bailey would have stepped up after last year but apparently has not. We got the W and now here comes Pitt. Pitt has a good Defense with a veteran QB. This will be are last real warm up before we start conference play. Next game after Pitt is a useless game .
Overall it is year one with JH and I like what I see so far. A coach that actually has a play card in his hands , a coach who is actually coaching. Haven’t seen that here in only God knows how long.
GOVOLS!!! GO BIG ORANGE!!!!
NEW ERA NEW TIME

What I saw last night LIVE is going to be the exact thing you are describing. Everyone says Bailey is a statue but Milton has lead feet. No, he’d get murdered until UT gets a really really good OL, some really really good WR’s and perhaps a pretty good TE. While Milton didn’t exactly look like Michael Vick, he’s way more mobile than Bailey. Bailey would be a sackfest right now against any decent defense.
There’s a reason Huepel has him 3rd. You’re gonna have to trust that for now.
Way more to being the QB than passing.I was pleasantly surprised with Milton. He will grow, it is his first game here with new receivers in a new offense. I like that he is big and did not seem to panic, but he had all day in the pocket. He will have to make quicker decisions when we higher caliber teams will good pass rushes. The best thing I did not see was INT's. Very refreshing. Not sure why Hooker came in over Bailey late because Hooker's passing in the Spring was very subpar to Bailey so why is Bailey 3rd string? What is going on there?
I'm not acting like Milton played great but he shouldn't carry all the blame eitherFor as many drops as there were last night, there were three times the amount of times that Milton overthrew a wide open receiver or just held on to the ball when a receiver was wide open. How can you even sit here and act like Milton was anything but below average at best.
Against good teams his performance last night would be along the lines of 0 tds and 4 turnovers. Late balls over the middle, under thrown pylon balls and he doesnt tuck the ball away. Strip sack last night ? It is also fair to remember that JM is a RS Jr. I don't care if it is HH or HB. If we start bad against Pitt it is time to pull the stringI was pleasantly surprised with Milton. He will grow, it is his first game here with new receivers in a new offense.
