Hypocrisy #1263 on VN Politics Forum: act outraged and offended to the core when someone doesn't lick the boots of American troops- unless they're gay.

**** those guys.

My take on this?

I don't like to see the military facilities being used for this sort of thing. And that has nothing to do with LGBT rights or anything else. The military, by and large, should be an apolitical animal so I don't agree with any of the "Heritage" stuff that goes on. Be it Black History Month, Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Banquet, Bible study daily, etc. And these things turn into a political mess whether we want to believe that or not. The military should by and large be the neutral party in this and support for any group means support for all groups be it the LGBT Rights Awareness, Black History Month or the local KKK Chapter.

Having pride in your heritage or being a Christian and being in the military is perfectly fine. But at the same time once you get through that gate, you happen to become the society of green where race, religion, personal opinions, sexual orientation, gender or national heritage goes out the window. As someone pointed out, the last thing you're thinking about when the hot metal comes flying at you is the sexual orientation or religion of the person standing beside you.

You want to hold these types of events? I personally think one should do them off base. The only fundraisers that should be allowed on base are the Service specific relief organizations (Air Force Aid, Army Relief, etc), the USO, CFC and professional organizations like the Ombudsman, NCOA, etc.

Stop the categorization of the military by their differences and be a completely apolitical organization that focuses on the fact that they joined out of a desire to serve their country.

Almost seven decades after being the scene of one of the most ferocious and protracted battles of World War II – a site of legendary valor and sacrifice on the part of American soldiers – some U.S. service personnel stationed in Okinawa today are treating the world to another kind of display: “Gay” and lesbian service personnel performing in drag, to raise funds for their activities, to a sellout audience.

‘Gay’ U.S. soldiers caught in astonishing act

...no wonder Russia is laughing

Wonder what Patton would think?

Slamming the men and women who serve this country, are ye? Always knew you don't support our troops and aren't a patriot.

I've met 2 really hot girls at drag shows. At least one of them was a girl anyway. Other one was too hot and I really didn't want to know the troof in fear that I may turn gay

Who cares what these Gay activists who thing everyone should bless(not only allow)their activities think? Personally I'm getting sick of the activists trying to order people to accept and bless that lifestyle and things like Gay marriage and adoption. I refuse to because it's contrary to my beliefs and if that makes me a homophobe I couldn't care any less.

I don't understand why single straight guys don't hang with the gays more. There are nearly always attractive women around and they aren't getting lucky with the gay guys.

I learned that at UT when I was invited with a group to a gay bar, went, and met my gf for the next few months that night.
And she went to the top of the fun sex list immediately. She said she went just to have fun and dance without a bunch of dumbass drunk dudes trying to hump her or giving looks to her friends that were different.

who is being forced to accept anything? This was in a rented out space and you have to buy a ticket to attend. No one was forced to watch unless they chose to. Same with pretty much everything else those terrible activists do for their cause

So you admit you're afraid of gays. You literally fear them?

Have you been listening to Gannondorf's gay Mafia speeches? :)

He said "if" , he's entitled to his opinion.
"If that makes me a homophobe, so be it"

Suggests that he would accept the label. Why would he say that if he wasn't afraid? He could have just as easily said,

"If people want to call me a homophobe, so be it"

Which offers a different implication.

And not all opinions are created equal.. :)
