If you don't think the overwhelming majority of Vol fans want Bruce Pearl back, you must never use any form of social media or see that probably 80%+ of posters on here, VQ, Hoopsville etc want Pearl back. Probably 90% want Cuonzo out. The GoVolsXtra poll in December was that 90% of the fans would welcome Bruce Pearl back. That was when people were far less upset with the B-Ball program than they are now.

Only logic here is that there has to be a vacancy for anybody to fill, including Pearl.

There are no Vacancies.

There are 3 regular season games left, the SECT and the NCAA or NIT left.

CCM is our coach.

The AD and has said nothing, absolutely nothing about a change, nor will they until the season is over.

Everybody loves drama, evidently.

The petition exists and will grow in numbers.

Why certain people pride themselves in being right about something that will or may not even happen is beyond belief? Then, they turn around and argue their points to an argument which may never occur.

Do yourself a favor and take a chill pill. We don't have a vacancy.

I agree and apparently the fans at the games need to start a chant of "Bring Back Bruce" to show the administration people are serious.

When you start hearing Hubbs, Hyams, even DeerPark saying things like "Pearl will never come back" that is the AD putting the word out without making an official statement. 99.1/VQ are AD mouthpieces.

The funny thing about it is, I don't care who the coach is. I just want the Problem fixed.

We can mouth piece the Pearl thing to death through any means possible. I support Pearl coming back if and only if that fixes the problem.

If they want to hire John Smith, I don't care as long as it fixes the problem.

If they leave CCM in place and there is a viable plan that they see that will fix the problem then fine. Only problem is I do believe that CCM is the a major part of the problem.

No matter what the deal, on a coaching change or not. Do it with a little bit of class and don't send the mouthpieces out with the information to state it.
Have the balls at the appropriate time to state it yourself. Do it at the end of the season.

It is easy to say we are not addressing anything until season's end.

This all stems from the influx of National Media Attention, fans, emails, phone calls and letters coming into the AD talking about Pearl. That is Chicken Crap. Have the guts, to say CCM is the Coach we ain't talking about anything else until we decide so. Geez.

Somebody needs to be the Adult in the Room. The AD is not supporting this team and not telling everybody to back off. They could have ignored it but they then use there mouthpieces to put it to bed...Really grow up this is a business not a high School.

There is no reason to make an OFFICIAL STATEMENT. Nothing has changed to make one.

I want Pearl because he is the only coach to make us relevant again. It can be someone else but then I don't have to support them do I? Unlike you who gets paid by martin to smooch his butt in every post you make.
Wait and see what this does to our program.

I think the fans need to start a chant of "Bring Back Bruce" the final two home games of the season since you say the AD is not listening or paying attention to what the fans want.

Why is Bruce the only coach who can make us relevant again?

Howland, Smart, Marshall, Buzz Williams, Jamie Dixon (huge leap on my part). Any of these coaches would be a drastic upgrade.

They both work for the same company so I would say it's the same info. VQ has better ties than any other media source and it's not even close, if they say something you can pretty much count on it. They rarely say something they don't know is true.

So in other words, I don't think they say that about Pearl based on guesses they're making, someone or someone's has told them that.

Thanks, I left for 1 hour, don't know how I missed it, then I started trying to find a "statement" and all I saw was VQ...lol...oh well...John Wilkerson has been saying similar for a few weeks.

He's not.

However, I do think he's likely the safest choice at this time.

The biggest problem I had with Martin (and still do) is he didn't prove himself at a lower school.

Pearl had in D2 and at UWM. Jones had at CM and Cincy. Serrano had proven himself at UC Irvine and CS Fullerton.

Compare that with Dooley who really hadn't at LT, and Todd Raleigh really hadn't at Western Carolina.

I have no problem hiring an "up and comer" or someone from a smaller school, but you have to get someone who is a proven winner at said school.

My concern would be, does the NCAA lie in the weeds for us? Are they ready to crush us first chance they get?

I think they would place so much focus on us that if Bruce farts they would be there to smell it.

You and I both know it's a fine line you walk between success and cheating.

Even if that is what BTO is doing, it's not worse than those that keep posting how Pearl is going to come back to the SEC with a different team and destroy us each year. The level of giddiness in the posts seems to indicate they REALLY hope it happens just to make Cheek and Hart look bad. To me, THAT is sad.

I think the NCAA talk is overblown. Since that all went down with Pearl, the NCAA's already bad rep took a major hit.

Maybe they do camp out, but I really don't see it. Plus weren't they snooping around here because of Kiffin anyway? With Jones here, that's not going to be an issue.
