What's sad?

What's sad, is the fact that BTO has taken great pride in posting this throughout Volnation and even started a thread that was merged.

BTO seems overjoyed with the news. That's Sad. Not that it was about CBP not being here but the fact for those that feel like it can happen, this news has made it a pleasurable experience for him to shout out.

That's sad.

Yes. I was lit up over the last couple weeks because of my stance. I have stayed constant that I don't think it'll happen, and I have given time and time again my reasonings.

I was told how stupid I was and how I didn't understand how this stuff works if that was what I thought. I was told Pearl is the only guy that can succeed here, and reminded that big money guys make the decisions and they want Pearl.

So yes, I admit, I do find it somewhat entertaining to watch reputable sources shoot down the idea, and take the same stance I have taken just to watch everyone on here now try to discredit said source.

But the realization of Cuonzo being fired still lives. There is a lot of us who don't want Cuonzo, and would prefer a new coach not named Pearl. Still good chance of that happening.

And that's fine by me, I want what's best for the program, have said as much for a long time now.

When is The Million Fan march planned for?

I hear they plan to take over the AD office and set up a Pearl-On villiage in Circle Park until Bruce is brought back. How is that movement going? Are the "real" UT fans camping out tonight?

Reputable sources. lol

Maymon was already here......and Stokes came in January his first yr.....there is some discussion of who gets most credit for him but I would give it to ZO since he was the coach when Stokes signed.....Zo's second class was atrocious and his 3rd class is better but still middle of the pack in the SEC and rated between 30-48 depending on service.

I honestly feel if you can recruit than u can recruit....He may get the job done but there is nothing to hold onto that makes u feel like he will at this time.

I don't know what I was thinking regarding Maymon, my bad.

I think it's too early to judge the 2nd class, but I understand why you feel that way.

I think what I see is a young coach, a Maymon who is not 100%, Barton hasn't worked out like most hoped or expected, Hubbs couldn't contribute and McRae and Stokes' chemistry with each other seems off.

Then I look to see what of those problems is the coach's fault, which of it couldn't be helped or for seen, and what falls on the players.

In the last game Maymon seemed like he was really struggling. I would never question his effort because his body of work doesn't suggest that would be the problem. Why is he playing so many minutes, isn't there someone to spell him? I didn't realize at the time two players didn't make the trip, one being Edwards. Reece just isn't ready and I guess the thought might be that for all the good things Moore brings to the table, a Maymon at 70% is better on the offensive end.

In a nut shell, we don't have a point guard. We can't guard the better point guards we face. If a team decides to take either McRae or Stokes out of the game, the other guys can't score regularly enough. Missed free throws at crucial times have hurt as well. Pancrantz said the other day that some of the players we have aren't ideal for the motion offense.

Those are not band aid type problems. As the season has worn on, I'm kind of surprised we even still have a shot, remote as it seems, to make the tourney.

I do not dispute the fact that there are many fans who do not support the rehiring of Bruce. Those same fans will have the company of the curtains in TBA if Bruce is not at least considered and the administration represent FACTS and STATEMENTS on why they did not give the best basketball coach in the history of UT his job back.

The majority will rule in a democracy. If the UT administration wants to control this like a dictatorship, they will only suffer the consequences in lost revenue.

Hamilton, looked ahead, the black seats make the curtains unnecessary. :p

You should know by now that this happens with every coaching change or projected change or a desired based fan group change for example Gruden, now potentially Pearl.

I don't want to discredit the source but would love to know who it was. I think it is a dumb move at this point and the release of that statement should have been made a later date.

To gloat over it is sad in my opinion. This program has accumulated more interest and national attention than since the Pearl days.

Why kill it now. It will not go away, the fan base will continue to press and why not a line has been drawn in the sand. The National Media called it a "No Brainer"

I think the Administrators in their stupidity felt by making this statement that all would return to normal, the petition, the emails, the letters would go away and this would blow over. I don't think it will, in fact, it has now turned into a power struggle for some, this could get nasty.

This also could have been a move to force Cheek to re-look at it. Releasing this now makes no sense, but if the AD entertained it but knew Cheek would never buy into it then why not release this information to force it. Fans are not going to sit by and say ok where not going to hire Bruce and change focus. I would say that this act will cause some type of win-win scenario and one possibility is if you don't hire Pearl then you must at least fire CCM.

I mean the proper thing to do in all fairness to everybody concerned is for the AD to state CCM is our coach and we will address any issues at the end of the season.

Beat your chest and proclaim that you were right and rub it into those fans' faces that wanted this to happen. In other words, It accomplishes nothing good.

This ain't over not saying Pearl is the going to be the next coach, just saying it could get really Sad and Bad for UT Vols Basketball because of the way this has been handled. If Hart is not the source on this, then, he is not got a handled on the AD.

I hope no one from our AD called Stallings and asked him to make a press release regarding a Vote of Confidence for CCM. Seems a little odd and coincidental. Maybe he is our next coach in waiting. LOL. Joke. Beat that Chest Some More.

You may be right or you may be wrong but Singing praise about being right to others that wanted this will only damage you. Rules 1-3 regarding Msg Boards, don't take anything personal, don't get emotional about it, everybody has their own opinion.

You are great at tracking this team and bubble watching and seeing things about this team that we take for granted. I think you are all Vol and desire what's best for this team and university in basketball. Always Informative and good analysis, however your message board personality stinks and you are to argumentative.
